This is what REALLY gets on my moobs, up my foreskin and round my sphincter. I spent 30 odd years supporting this club and saw them promoted twice! Then over the last 10 years we've now (assuming we succeed this season) been promoted 4 times!!! AND PEOPLE ARE TWATTING WELL BANGING ON ABOUT BEING LUCKY!!!
This Brucebones character clearly knows nothing about football,so try not bite. I love the bit where she says,"i don't see the games" Does she think that doesn't matter ? You couldn't make this **** up It's interesting, she hasn't replied to anyone,i doubt if we'll hear from her again.
We have been really really lucky though this season, you have to give the original poster that, unlike other teams we've not lost last season's top scorer to injury for the enitre season, we've not lost our best player and top scorer at the half way stage to a season ending injury, we didn't lose our only left wing back at that time to injury for the whole season a few games into the season either..........oh wait, that utterly utterly ****e luck has actually befallen us, ffs if Man U had lost Rooney for the entire season, lost RVP at Christmas and Evra after a few games they'd have struggled to make 2nd in the prem, so when you consider how well we've done in the absence of those really key players you cannot consider us to be 'not that good', apologies ot the original poster but you have made yourself look a right bellend pal
I remember being 'unlucky' at Turf Moor in 1984. I also remember how amusing Bristol City fans at Ashton Gate found our near miss when we went there the following season. I look forward to biding them a fond farewell on Friday and return the compliment some 29 years later.
That's why I despise the Sheffield Pigs so much, what with those two coaches of fans supporting Burnleh that day. That and the battle of Bramall Lane of course!!!
Listen - if you "aren't that good" what does that make the rest of us? You and Cardiff have been the most consistent sides all season. Until our recent run I would have included Watford with you both as we were a totally new side - if not club almost - and took about a dozen games to get started.but then we were good and consistent. Unfortunately the wheels fell off after Zola got Manager of the Month Award - if ever there was kiss of death .....
Half a bottle of Jack & some beer will do that to you. I stand by the smug bit though with SOME people!
The famous saying: 'The harder I work the luckier I get' Pretty much applies to City. Steve Bruce will undoubtedly go down as the best manager we have ever had. We are in an automatic promotion place, because we're there on merit. We have had horrific injury problems - probably worse than any other team in the top 6. Fryatt, Dudgeon, Hobbs, McShane, Aluko - We have gone most of the season without a recognised goal scorer having to make do and mend. Our performance over the course of the season has been in my opinion a miracle!! In what despite the detractors say a bloody brilliant league. Clubs with 20 goal plus strikers in their sides fighting off relegation (Blackburn/Burnley) - We have also done it playing some of the best football I have seen for years.
You make your own luck, thats why people banging on about 'luck' are pretty clueless to say the least
Maybe we will only have five new players in the first team but I think we would still need plenty of squad players. If we sign Stockdale, Elmo and Boyd I suppose they are classed as new signings!
I'm a smug fat ****ing bastard, so what. I feel smug that my club will not be relegated in fact I revel in the smugness of having a season lacking in the fear of it. I feel smug that I've got a season pass for a season that could either be like this one or even better. Boy am I smug about being in second now. Whatever happens my smugness will explode if we win at Wembley should it come to that.
It's absolutely incredible, 6 points clear in second with 3 games to go and people still moan. I honestly don't think I've ever heard anything like it, and to top it off you haven't even seen us play We haven't been lucky, the Championship isn't like the Premier League were the top 2 teams only lose 2 or 3 times a season you know, and that's because this league quality wise is so close, hence why teams who are mid table have been in a relegation fight. And hence why anyone can beat anyone in this league. Idiot.
