I feel more confident about the Everton game than at any previous fixture against them. The reason for this is that as well as having a really forceful motivator as a manager we have at last found someone who has excellent tactical ability. He will have been examining Everton in depth every day since the derby to find any weaknesses and will deploy tactics to exploit them. While I'm not saying we will win I do think the game is winnable and one thing is sure, we WILL NOT roll over and go belly up like we usually do.
I think a lot of this season is about attitude, commitment and passion. I don't think we can analyse his tactical attributes until next season. His character and personality will be enough for the next 5 games.
I bet the lads are getting **** loads of homework, reckon they get DVDs to study too. Can't beat attention detail, ask any successful gambler.
Agree character and personality can drive us through but his tactical attributes were there before he joined us Cest. I know Swindon were in different leagues but the concept is the same. He'll have recorded last nights Everton game and spliced together a resume of their game play for his preparation for Saturday. Also expect him to pick a team that will be best suited to deal with Everton rather than keep the same team Fellaini and Baines usually run rings round us so it will be interesting to see how we deal with them on Saturday Will he be able to spot any weakness in their defence? (Jagielka had a bloody good game last night and the rest of their defence looked sound) Hoping for another MOM performance from Sess
Put his car keys through the wash with the kit, had to wait 4 hours for it cos it was on a boil wash. He had Nuts and Zoo though, so, every cloud.
I was confident about the quarter final last season when we decided to put in our worst performance of the season. Hope its different this time. It would appear the players have bought into PDCs work ethic and renewed passion for the game already. Lets hope we continue where we left off and bury this hoodoo.
Due to the three points we picked up at the horse botherers Id be chuffed with a point on Saturday and it would set us up nicely for Villa where if we can avoid defeat I think wed be in a great position going into the Stoke game on 36 points. Win that one and I think we should be safe
The Everton defence put in a fair shift against Arsenal and looked solid, could be looking to hit us on the break so possession is probably key.
