Cashing in on the 'Yellow Pound' perhaps? Or maybe a recommendation from one of our more recent departees? Otherwise, I haven't a clue...... Edit: Bugger - really should read ALL posts before responding...... 'Echo gag'!!
Nadal being right handed shows "handedness" (and "footedness") is a completely arbitrary preference; you don't prefer one side because you're better with it, you're better with it because you prefer it.
But he's not as experienced in the top flight as, say, Wayne Routledge was when we bought him. How sure are you that Shaw is going to turn out to be better? Buying players that young is a risk (John Bostock anyone?). Also, Bentley looked likely to succeed Beckham at one point
No he's not experienced as Routledge was but he's already showing at 17 years of age, with 20+ top flight appearances that he can more than hold his own against some of the worlds best. He plays very similar to how Cole does which isn't something you'd usually refer to someone so young. Bostock had about 5 appearances for Palace in the Championship, I think 3 of them were as sub, you can't compare the two really. Bentley wasn't a youngster when we bought him though, he was an established international who seemed on top of his game. Buying players of any age/ stature/ experience etc is always a risk, that's why faith needs to be put into the scouting team and the player himself in the hope he fulfils expected potential.
Yeah they do seem to have a conveyor belt of talent. Bale, Walnut, Oxo-cube, Lallana, Shaw are just the recent ones. No doubt a few Saints fans can educate us about who's next in line.
just been having a bit of a mooch about and spotted something interesting. No one's said anything official, but there's lots of "code" going round suggesting that there may have been some sort of development, and it really is "goodbye Benny" - To somewhere in France.
Levy, sort this the **** out would ya? - Before it's too late. http://www1.skysports.com/football/...greed-for-Liverpool-to-sign-Christian-Eriksen
Just been reading that apparently we've enquired over Christian eriksen and are in pole position. Supposedly doesn't depend on CL qualification either.
Are we stockpiling attacking midfielders now then? It's going to be like under Jol, when Comolli kept signing centre mids and we ended up with Davids, Tainio, Ghaly, Jenas, Murphy, Davis and Huddlestone.
God knows. Presuming it's true, I see holtby taking a deeper role and us saying goodbye to hudd and Livermore. There's no doubting we need Eriksens creativity and goals though!
