Cardiff City supporter's have long since been associated with large scale violence, and it will be interesting to see whether with promotion they go the way of other notorious hooligan supporters such as Chelsea, who seem to have largely changed things round for the better, or Millwall and Newcastle fans, who seem to be still stuck in a 1970's time warp..
Think its fair to say they were a bunch of nutters at one time..lets see if they have changed. I remember going down there in either late 70's early 80's..had our coach windows put out coming from the ground..not a great experience.
Yeah last time we played them there was loads of trouble in the City. I remember after a match one little scrote walking across the car park saying "Come on then, I'll take the ****ing lot of you on" and spome big lad walked over and floored him!! Quite funny really but I've never, in 32 years watching Sunderland, known a game against Cardiff where there wasn't trouble!
They still have a firm, usually organised though, a few seasons back we (not me personally) did cardiff in cardiff, not too many have done this. They are not the type to go on a mindless rampage but they certainly have a biggish hooligan element
Going by last season, Cardiff seem to have got their house in order, but only time will tell whether this lasts..
They have larger than the average share of nutters in their support, but it's unfair to judge the entire fanbase on these cocaine snorting lunatics.
Next season , for the first time ever there will be three Welsh teams in the top flight. Swansea , Cardiff and Gareth Bale. I'll get ma coat.
I appreciate we are known as a club for our hooliganism, but as evidence of how far we have come, for the past few seasons we have been the football leagues family club of the year.
I understand this mate, as i alluded too, its organised so goes off underground which is fair enough if people still want a ruck, been there done that, pointless imho, but hey ho, it still goes on
Let's hope it stays that way mate.....Newcastle fans have been involved in a couple of shocking large scale examples of hooliganism in recent weeks, and it certainly needs nipping in the bud if it is going to remain family friendly..
Agreed, people on drugs do stupid **** and shouldn't taint the general population. Toothless scarf wearing, pie eating, horse fighting twats on the other hand...
Its a well known fact that a degenerative brain disease can develop if sexual contact between sheep and humans is carried out on a regular basis. The resulting symptoms are kicking ,clawing and foaming at the mouth when those suffering gather in numbers huddled together in a large group, the frenzy often means they will turn on each other during high levels of adrealin. The only known temporary cure is to punch the sufferer on the nose and a kick in the bollocks with a heavy boot, they do seem to respond quite well if done on a regular basis, in fact they seem to enjoy it
I'm sure I read somewhere that a few weeks ago Sunderland fans were involved in a large scale organised fight with West Ham? I must have read it wrongly?
My mate was in Darlo Casuals and he assures me that it's going on stronger then ever only now it's ran like covert operations off the radar. Private meets well away from the ground, sometimes different towns. He hates seeing it in the stands.
