The ice cream I had prepped to accompany my Jelly melted. :( This is a good enough substitute.

DTLW Matt should give Ricky his barber's number. He looks like Timmy from South Park in your Avatar!

Wow, what a fall from grace. Swa a Pompey fan posted on BBC that he had seen Pompey get promoted, win the FA Cup, Play AC Milan in the Europa, get relegated to Championship, get relegated to League 1 and now League 2. He's done this all by the age of 16!

Its quite amazing how much has happened to the club in the last 10 years, when you consider some clubs have been in eternal purgetory of the same league in that time. Maybe they have found their level now and can consolidate in League 2 and try to get their house in order. I guess one of the best things is that they can't be someones cash cow now, so at least there maybe some stability.

Be easier to finance a decent team for League 2.

Just hope they are realistic. It may take them a few seasons before they can start climbing the league. Some big clubs like Bradford still haven't managed it.

Yes, it will be tough. Took us three years to get from -10 in league 1 to the Premier League...what a long hard slog:grin:

Unlikely that Pompey will have enough resources to build a promotion-winning team. They certainly won't have anyone of the ilk of our Rickie to bash the goals in. And if they start on -10, it's more likely that they'll go out of the Football League altogether than get promoted.

    Wouldn't that be a shame?...

Given that they have been relegated by their own efforts, i.e. without the points deduction, it is a nailed on cert that they will start next season with at least -10. it took us many weeks to get back into positive points, and i am sure it will be the same for Pompey. I can't for one minute think that their finances will be strong enough to finance a huge challenge in Div 2 or the "FOURTH DIVISION" as I prefer to call it, especially as they have had to borrow £1.5 million from the council to help fund the purchase of fallingdown park. All will depend on who they will be able to keep from their existing paper thin squad. In 10 years time they might just be able to afford to buy Rickie, but he would still be too good for them!

I think they are doomed to become the aldershot of south hampshire. as Windsor Davies used to say in "It aint half hot mum" "OH dear........never mind"

Just to carry on from yesterday.

Kagawa has just levelled Vaz Te's opener to make it west ham 1 - 1 man Utd.

    Wigan & city 0-0

    Fulham & Chelsea 0-0

Man City have under achieved so badly this season, Mancini will be lucky to have that job next year. Why can he not get the best out of those players, its bizarre.
