A win on Friday, and we are 9 points clear of Watford with 9 points for them to play for. We could be up on Saturday night.
Despite the poor result, I think we can conclude that tonight has been a partial success. We've consolidated our 6 point lead and with three games remaining, we only have to pick up four more points at most to guarantee our promotion. With Bristol City already relegated, Barnsley struggling and Cardiff already promoted, it's a fantastic position to be in.
We can't. Even if we win we're 9 clear and they have 9 still to play for with a better goal difference to boot.
With the way the scores have gone the last few weeks i'm starting to believe we're meant to go up!!! Well done Cardiff, bad luck Bristol City.
Its all falling in our lap, I had a feeling we would lose one more game and as it stands this is it. It will take a miracle for us not to go up now, Not quite 'old men who couldn't be bothered' like that guy said on the other thread was it.
We are City....we don't do things the easy way. Still, if we win on Friday night then the pressure is really on Watford to win on Saturday. If we win and they don't then its ours - City really do believe in making us sweat.
I think Watford have shot their bolt some time ago, not going to start celebrating yet but feeling pretty good isn't it!
Well, well. Its officially a 2 horse race now. Watford will have to overcome three teams coming into good form by the looks of it - Blackburn (H), Leicester (A), Leeds (H). Meanwhile, we have to play a team that's already down, Barnsley, and one that's already up. I reckon 1 more point should do it.
Don't write off Barnsley and Bristol (i know they're already down), but we've ballsed up against Wolves and Peterborough already this season & Wednesday were in the bottom 3 when they came to the KC in January. There will be an uneasiness about Friday night. If we win it'll be a scrappy 1-0 no doubt. Not going to be pretty.
Leicester winning was a good thing. Means that hopefully they will still be going all out when they play Watford (just in case we have let them close the gap).

Am I missing something... all the tables show Palace still have 4 to play and are 11 behind us. Why is nobody counting them as being able to catch us?
