I dare say we'll be looking towards Italy, and Lazio players could figure.

Zarate, linked massively and class could be rekindled, Sergio Floccari is an excellent forward, seemingly unwanted and out on loan at Parma, averages 1 in 3 in his career, decent.

We need a right back and a centre back, I'd assume Zarate in this scenario would play CM, where he is far better than up top.

If we were going all Italiano, the RB would be Abate in a dream scenario, more likely someone like Mattia Cassani, an uncompromising and occasionally brutal RB who carries and passes neatly, and at CB Salvatore Bocchetti is desperate to leave Russia permanently, he is a very elegant and composed CB.

Take the unrealistic Abate out, and we could probably job-lot the rest for not a massive outlay

    Zarate - £6million
    Floccari - £4-5 million
    Cassani £3 million
    Bocchetti - £4-6 million.

We SHOULD try and get Ljalic of Fiorentina, but he will stay another year then go to Juve, so maybe his teammate, the sexually good on the ball Mati Fernandez, could be the flair midfielder with vision we crave.

Of course, just cos Pizzle Di Chizzle is Italian doesn't mean we will only raid Serie A, but there is logic that at least a couple will come from his homeland.

I'd love to see 1 of Rhodes or Kone arrive, and I like Bryan Ruiz of Fulham, a great left footed player who would add to any team outside the top 6.

Think me and you have long championed Matty, but he's been poor this season.

I'd still take the risk like, for sure.

Yeah, should not be too expensive because as you said he's been poor and with Ince out shining him there's the possibility we could get him on the cheap.

At the very least he would be able to provide competition for Johnson and McClean

Managing to make two passes is coming on in leaps and bounds? :p

I think it will be 30+ Mill and warned not much if any come January.

Got to agree about Rose, I was all for him after watching him play for the young England team.
That was before he scored the screamer for Spurs and came on loan here.
If we are going to spend big on just one player he would be my first choice, clearly loves it here and has said as much.

If Villa went, I Would pile in for Benteke, him as the front man of a MF diamond behind a lone striker would be just the job. I still think we should have tried Jones there.
