    The Nazis had a pact with the Communists until the invasion of Britain stalled, based on mutual non aggression and a carving up of Europe to suit both parties.

    Then they turned on their Red allies, obliging Il Duce to step up to the plate (not of spaghetti).

    As far as I know the Italian air force never made it over the Dolomites.

    Think you're mistaking the Luftwaffe for the SS.

    The Luftwaffe weren't fascists.

    They were doing their job in time of war, just like the RAF boys did over Hamburg & Berlin etc etc.
