Just before I set off, can I say NIGEL PEARSON?

    :emoticon-0148-yes:

I think that had it not been for him being in charge when we dropped out of the Premier League, what has / is happening to Wolves now, is what would have happened to us.

    Right, see you at Molineux.

So only Nigel Pearson could have got us to finish mid table? No one else could?

Also got to thank Nigel Pearson for ploughing 60 odd million into our club and saving it.

I think a lot of fans overlook the job Pearson did for us. He took control of a free falling team, on high wages, with little money to spend. He steadied the ship and signed some good players which are still key in the current team (Chester, Koren etc). Yes we didn't get promoted straight away, but had someone else come in, it could have been very different.

I'm sure Tony Warner's Face will agree with you <whistle>, but equally we would never be in the position we are now under Pearson.
Bruce immediately recognised Pearson's (and NB's) mistake of trying to use only rookie players to build a promotion team. He brought in experience and he isn't intimidated by players with such experience like Nige is.
Pearson has continued with the same methods at Leicester to their cost.

Liam Rosenior, James Chester, Jack Hobbs, Corry Evans, Robert Koren, Jay Simpson, Matty Fryatt, Joe Dudgeon and Robbie Brady were all Pearson signings, that alone warrants some credit.

Yeah, Craig - we wouldn't be where we are now, but he 'steadied the ship'

    Exactly (stick it, Percy!)

Nigel has to be given some credit, but he certainly could not have achieved what Brucy has done, that is beyond his capabilities, as Lesta have now found out.

Agreed and he brought in some good players, but I think that was the limit of his ability and there's also evidence that players soon get disenchanted with him and/or his methods to the point where results suffer.

Lewis sums it up very well, but hopefully we can put to bed all this Leicester crap now, can't be just me gets tired of reading about them on here, couldn't honestly care less about them or whoever their new manager might be.

I don't see how people can conclude that he couldn't achieve what Brucey has. He had to build a whole new squad here, and after a season and a bit he was finally starting to get them playing. Now he's had to go and do the same under very similar circumstances at Leicester. I wonder how many of their regular 11 were there when he first went back? He managed to get Leicester into the playoffs once already with a squad he already knew and got familiar with, and that squad was a lot less talented than the one they have now. He's probably also had Leicester playing the best football this league has seen at all at times this season.

I'm fairly certain he's got it in him to do well in this league and the next, it's just not happening for him/them at the moment. Easy to point and blame the manager, specially for us after the way he left us, but there's probably more to it than poor management alone, they've had some pretty shocking individual errors contribute to this poor run of theirs aswell.

Not trying to stick up for him or anything as I think he's a bit of a knob, but I think some on here make themselves look a twat with their rejected opinions of him.

Good job he did walk out.

We can thank him for that, just as its a good job the Allams sacked NB.
