    Really Gerrez ?

I agree with most of what you say but a party to celebrate someones death is nothing like a wake.

I can't understand anyone who would celebrate her death but that doesn't mean I'm going to slag of those that do. Like Ruff says though, it's the lengths some will go to so they can celebrate her death.

One of your forum members said the other day in the thread that Thatcher was ''almost single handedly to blame for English clubs getting kicked out of Europe''. It seems both sides for and against Thatcher are trying to re write history <ok>

I can assure you that none of her family and friends will be in the Cheese tomorrow night. God help them if they are <ok>

Yeah, it's the same but different!! I see what you're saying but holding street parties and such like just isn't for me. Regardless of what Donga says, she is not up there with Pol Pot and Hitler. At least we've yet to find the mass graves I suppose.

I think tomorrow might just end up a fairly embarrassing day for Britain as the world will be looking on at coverage of ghouls dancing about like idiots and there is bound to be, 100% certain, a riot somewhere in some shape or form.

I'm not. It wasn't my idea to have a party, but the opportunity for all-night drinking is too good an opportunity to miss. Needless to say I've booked Thursday off <ok>

  5. I wasn't speaking for myself, more of a general comment. Some people make a full day of it and plenty of alcohol flows etc. Personally, I'd never celebrate the death of a human being, it is disrespectful to all involved.

I agree about the last bit being ridiculous but she didn't help the course either. She never liked football and inparticular football hooligans (who does?), I may be wrong but didn't she speak out asking for us to be banned? Not all English clubs should have been banned, if anything it should have been Liverpool and Liverpool alone.

I know what you're saying. Almost a year ago to the day I lost my uncle and at his funeral I did spend the day drinking and laughing about stories about my uncle but that was to celebrate his life whilst he was with us, not to celebrate his death.

I'm not having a pop at you I just think the two things, partying for someone dying and celebrating someones life are two very different things <ok>

  7. Yeah, fair enough. As I said, I don't like the reasoning behind these celebratations (ie death rather than life) but I do understand peoples feelings and stance on the issue too.

I say respect should be shown because I wouldn't like to be a family member or friend looking on and seeing one person celebrating, never mind thousands if not millions! its just wrong no matter what angle you look at it from IMO

I raised a glass when she died, as I always said I would. She's the only human being, I've ever said I'd celebrate passing & the only one I ever will....

However, her funeral is an occasion where those who did care for her, can show their respects & it's not the time for behaviour that isn't befitting of such an occasion, irrespective of the person involved. Those who really want to publicly show their disdain should do so by merely turning their backs as the procession passes by imo, that's enough to make their point. Anything more would be crass.

It tells me there is plenty of sheep in our country Red.

A large majority kicking off have no idea about politics and were barely born, in some cases not even born, when all the **** kicked out. They don't like her because there family and friends don't like her so they think it's the thing to do.

  11. Agreed, simply not participating tomorrow should suffice, anything more is classless and distasteful IMO <ok>

I will be at work all day tomorrow and don't even plan to look at it. It'll be hard to avoid completely but ideally I'll finish work, go and get changed, go to the driving range for an hour or so then call in at a pub on the way back to have some food and watch United v West Ham.

Any funeral I see will be on the ten o clock news and that is it, thankfully.

And wonder if any of the bookies will give me odds on there being some form of mini riot perpetrated by chavs who haven't done a days work in their entire ****ing lives?

I won't watch any of it. Can't stand to see that amount of money being poured down the drain.
