The Star Wars thing is true enough, although they have stood the test of time well and I would want the remake to be very much a homage without too many changes a brand new trilogy would be good. Get that Lord of the Rings fella on the case and you'd have a great set of new films.

I don't think it would have but again a remake would be brilliant.

Back to Star Wars, iconic characters who would be able to step into their shoes?

    Luke. Shia labeouf
    Leia. ?
    Han. ?
    Vader. Tom Hardy
    Ben. Ian McKellen
    Palpatine.
    Lando.

Last year, the only bit that hasn't stood the test of time is the bit where the aircraft is flying down to the planet. The Aliens are all models and look authentic, unlike most films these days who just use crappy looking CGI, might as well be like Rodger Rabbit the majority of them. <doh>

    Depends how they do it.

They already have all the original cast going back to star in them. As are they not making 3 one off spin offs of the original then a brand new trilogy either set before or long after??

Right. My favourite director by a long distance is Stanley Kubrick. Can you let me have an assessment of his films please. Leave Eyes Wide Shut out of it as well <ok>
