"@tonyfernandes Thanks for sticking with us, Tony. One thing ... can we have our old club badge back please?"

"For season after next we will bring back old badge but will look forward. RT @ajpandy "

Good news. Let's get back to basics.

Interesting! If I was to have the choice I would go back to the badge in your avatar 68! Even though it's older, it looks less dated to me than the one in my avatar..

Yeah, you've got a point. I guess in a way it's the "classic" crest.

I was just thinking that the 68 one echoes the current badge a bit more, and so might be more of an evolutionary change, rather than revolutionary one. Anyway, either one would be far better than the current monstrosity! Well done Tony. <ok>

I like the new/current one personally. Looks like a professional club badge (even if the team playing for it are not!)

The old one before the current one to me is dated and not particularly interesting.

Keep the current one imo. I think most people who dont like it dont like it because it has links to flavio, not because of the design (I stress most people, not all!!!)

A little cynical maybe but could this just be a "crowd pleaser" by TF after the poor season we've had?

Agree with that assessment. I am a big fan of TF, and am delighted he is our owner, but I am sure he has said before the current badge wont be changed?

Agree with you and Congleton. And I suspect that as with Players, Managers and Lovers going back with Badges probably won't work!

Probably true but, if I were in his shoes, I'd do the same - immerse yourself in off field affairs (planning and building for the future) while offering the fans a few distracting crumbs.

Thankfully, not the actions of someone formulating an escape strategy and I, for one, love the badge of the 90s/00s. :)

The only badge we need is the heart that sits behind it... Stick 11 of them in a blue and white shirt that actually care about the club, I'd take that any day! Who gives a monkeys about the badge design in time like these, seriously.

Not fussed about the badge either tbh.

Agree the heart though. Won't get that with decent players wrapped round it till we start getting proper product from the academy - or doing a Norwich and buying smart from the lower leagues.

The current badge looks awful and that´s why I never bought any new stuff recently - just the retro garment. It was a stupid decision to Change the badge anyway this should never happen at a traditional Football Club.

So at times like this, we shouldn't discuss anything else? It's a QPR forum, for all things QPR no?
