Carried away on the wave of joy, and having secured a tidy sum on the golf, I saw fit to spunk £40 on the U21's to beat Blackburn. They are 2 down with 10 mins left. I will forgive Paolo, but he owes me £40.
How much do you lose though? next time you see a bookie leave check his car out it won't be a clapped out Focus mate.
I'm pretty much always up to a varying degree mate, it's just about planning and patience, anyone can make good money gambling if they play smart, anyone.
Problem people have is trying to win thousands off a small stake, doesn't happen. If you put a fiver on to win say £20 on a double, it's not hard, if you do this a few times you have a canny wedge. People go for 5-6 games or more, and wonder why they lose. Sport is appealing as it's unpredictable, were it not, there'd be no bookies, we'd have closed them all down. I have 2 bets on now, Juve & FC Copenhagen double, Juve 2 up, FCC already won, tenner pays £40, simple double, pretty safe, and I have £30 for nowt. Mallorca & Benfica -1, tenner pays £43, SHOULD be safe, if so, £60 in my pocket. Doesn't make me rich, but it makes the games interesting, and it's free petrol, or a free night out, or some jeans or whatever. It's just about not being greedy, remember that and you will win more than you lose, the golden stat is ONE double win covers 4 fiver losses. Be smart, and you win way more than 1 in 4.
seems good advice, my problem is i bet with my heart (i only bet on home match days btw) and i do daft £1 accies pick loads so you can win 100's of 1000's, got close once, missed £250k by one result, ****ing ipswich conceded in the last minute to draw
Very rarely will anyone get above a 5-fold mate. A fiver on a double or treble should pay out more than not, and I never back under evens, they are always the games that **** you. 2 teams at evens is £20 off a fiver, add a few £15 quid profits together and you have a pot, gamble from the pot. Why do you think all the bookies print long lists? Cos they know casual punters will spunk 1 or 2 quid on bets with no legs, it's there bread and butter money every Saturday!
thats how my bro-in-law plays the game, he has a float, he's lucky aswel mind, he backed us to beat chelsea 3-0 £1 got him £476, he bets quite big on sunderland, he put £500 on us to win on sunday, he gave me £20 instead of me going to the cashpoint tbf My fatha ^ (grandpops) does ok on the hosses
There was a lad in Seaburn last night had 3-0 Sess 1st at 200's or summat, never seen a man so not arsed to lose a big one, haha. 3-0. Vaughan scored. I'm getting a Red Ralph Lauren done for sat with Di Canio on his knees on the back, cos I'm a sad act, haha.
