    Us or the mags?

2 weeks ago we were all feeling the strain. Form was poor and team morale very low. Whatever the reasons and I am still gutted for Mon, it wasn't working. Ellis took the decision to replace Mon with a wild card and the rest as they say is history.

Now, I'm not saying 1 game changes my opinion that We are still in a dog fight but I do think we have turned a corner with PDC's appointment. Momentum has swung back in our favour and with 3 home games to come v everton, southampton and Stoke plus 2 away at Villa and Spurs, we should just have enough imo to scrape home. 38 or 39 points will see us home this year.

Now I also think Newcastle will scrape home as well but with 3 tricky away games against WBA, WHU and QPR to come and 2 tough home games against Liverpool and Arsenal, I think they will be more concerned than us.

They looked flat yesterday and right out of ideas or a plan. We beat almost their full strength team (only Coloccini would have been missing) with our best 3 players out and on a miserable run of results and performances.

If they lose to WBA this weekend, then pressure will begin to mount just as it will on us.

We have momentum to take into the weekend. The craas have yesterday.

    Interesting few weeks ahead.

Your best three players include Mignolet and Sessegnon surely?

There's no easy games - Cliche alert.

Tough run in for both of you, your manager and players should guide you home safely and Newcastle's players should do the job in spite of their manager, fingers crossed for Stoke going down even if it means cacky little Wigan stay up. I'm sure Wigan will have a living nightmare in 2013/14 with European football coming to the mighty Dickhead ****stain Stadium.

It will go down to the wire we both could do with 40 points..not easy for either of us but I am grateful for the mags for giving us three points and playing ****e.

Still rather be in their position (2 points better off) Points in the bag better than anything. They probably need 3 points and us 5.

I suspect Wigan will come good, if they don't take their eye off the ball with the Cup Final to come. Stoke and Villa slightly more likely to go than us and the mags IMHO, with me predicting Villa for the drop.

I think Stoke will go down and they will relocate to Headingly.

Having said that the Sunderland of old would probably make them look like Brazil up here. Hope PDC has sorted that mentality out now and we get a git big f*cking win at the SoL.

Cattermole, Gardner and Fletcher missing are 3 huge players for us. Gardner possibly the player of the year for us tbh.

we don't have the Europa League anymore either, that will make a big difference, we'll have 7 days to prepare for each game and that should help

though I think we will both be safe, I think we have things to be concerned about, namely our inability to effectively tackle campaigns on two fronts, not that that matters next season, but we shouldn't be too concerned about relegation

Still us imo. I'd actually prefer their run-in. At this stage of the season, rather be going up against the mid table teams with nothing to play for (West Ham, WBA, etc.) than the ones at the bottom scrapping for their lives. That said, we will both be fine imo. Stoke to go.

    Agree with this ^.

Also have a strange feeling PDC`s the very chap to bust the Everton jinx.
Plenty of talk about the mags game but don`t forget the signs were beginning to be seen at Chelsea. Also they were both away matches.
Now, as a bonus there should also be belief.
The home crowd will be absolutely deafening.
    That`s 2 big plusses imo.

I might just take us to win this time.

As far as the mags are concerned, I really don`t give a toss although I`d like to see them stay up. I`m quite happy to see them survive and struggle again next season. <devil>

To be honest mate imo i think we'll both be aright, us for obvious reasons but for the mags, they've had a lot of players come back at the right time, also, they've no more europa, a few days rest and they should be fine fatigue wise. they're too good to go down meaning pardews crappy management skills will be off the hook and he'll try and take glory for keeping them up when really it's their very talented scouting network that will save them.
