Here's a positive article for a change. Seems like a few journos are suddenly starting to realise we exist. http://hereisthecity.com/2013/04/15...-the-best-shape-for-succeeding-in-the-premie/
It's a bit bollocks though. Basically says we'll be fine because we've been there before, ignoring the fact we've got a complete new team, management staff and owners since then.
Be fair, they're just starting to look for us on the map - you can't expect them to actually know anything about us.
Although it's nice to see someone is writing about us in a positive way, I don't agree with him. I think Cardiff will be best suited for the Premier League with the financial backing and a large squad already consisting of Top Level quality. Watford fans seem to think that they would fare better in the Premier League than any other team in the Championship which I think is bullshit because they will just bring in a shed load of loan players again. I think City will put up a fight if we get up there and our survival depends entirely on whether or not Brucey can recruit the right players in Summer.
Think Cardiff have a lot of larkers who are nearing sell by date. We are going up with a much younger squad this time and crucially an extra month to do the recruiting.
It also says we've been trying to get back there since we went down. Absolute bollocks. This is the first season we've tried.
We were in the Play offs for a tad last Season, 4th being the highest we got I think... But then we went on that awful run where Coventry and Portsmouth beat us and then we were never in contention again.
We made a late charge two seasons ago and before a dreadful run of results in late March/early April we were looking good for the play offs last season. Ultimately we weren't good enough to get there either season but it's unfair to say we didn't get there by not trying. There were 6 better teams than us each season.
It's a really, really poorly written and researched article. Talk about being blinded just cos it's positive.
To be fair it wouldn't suprise me that if we do get promoted the headline will be "Cardiff and someone else (not watford or palace) gain promotion"
When he said "You can't expect them to actually know anything about us..." I thought that made it pretty clear he was dismissing it.
Some people on here will be whinging none stop once we start losing every week in the premier league. I think i'd rather read an article posted by Erik than a whole thread of people feeling sad for themselves.
What's your problem? The article is a novelty in that it isn't being negative about City. That was the only point I was making, not it's accuracy which I mocked as early as post#3. Calling me "blind" for that just makes me wonder whether your looking for any excuse to have a dig. Edit; I take from your lack of response that was the reason. Pathetic.
