It was an example because those are the games what these sorts of fans want to go to. I didn't actually go to any away games to top four teams as I couldn't get tickets.

I went to Blackburn, Burnley, Sunderland, Newcastle, Bolton X2, Villa, Everton, Can't think of the others! But yeah so don't talk bollocks.

Both actually. Barnsley tickets not on general sale yet. Only season card holders and other vips.

Airlie, that's a **** argument, I think it's a given that everyone would want to see their team play arguably the biggest team in the world at arguably the most famous ground in the world. It's a shame loyal supporters who have been there over the years are missing out to people who are just there for the nice day trip with big families and kids who aren't even bothered about the game and sit there playing games on their phones and game boys for 90 minutes.

The only person who wouldn't want to see city play at old trafford is mussie.

They're so busy, they're selling them to anyone who's registered with the club, I bought Barnsley tickets this morning and I didn't have my pass with me.

This is the argument I was making, but for some strange reason he didn't quite get that I was making a point and thought I was a Man United fan <laugh>

It's not people getting season tickets when we got into the PL that annoys me, it's that nearly all of them disappeared when we were relegated when the club needed them most. That's football sadly. Oh, and this snidey fat **** who takes the piss out of City when they aren't doing so well, and claims he's been a fan for years when we reach the PL, he annoys me too.

They'll be there long after the lightweight ****s have ****ed off back to their computer games and carrot jean lifestyle I'm afraid. You can't fully enjoy the Premiershup unless you've seen at least 4 relegations and two receiverships. Sorry. Respect the seasoned campaigners.

You didn't read my post properly. You definitely would struggle getting tickets if we gained 8,000+ new fans. You would also struggle if we gained zero because there would be many existing fans that rarely travel who decide to go to the big away games.

If they only allow a certain amount of season tickets what exactly puts these new fans first in line? You make it sound like they're stealing them? Same when it comes to buying tickets for the big games. Everyone is in the same boat, even the new fans.

I aren't sure but I think that is what Calv means. ST holders from before the PL should get first priority before general sale as they where there to support them to such away days.

Well there will be 24,000 fans at the KC if we go up, so that will be gaining 8000 new fans.

I never said anything puts them first in line, I said that they have an equal chance of getting them so its a possibility true fans are left without a ticket, I know people who have witnessed this first hand.

My Mum went to every game before we got into the PL, she didn't have a pass, and on the final game of the season she couldn't get a ticket. She spoke to a woman she worked with and the woman said "Yeah I'm going with my little boy, I don't like football but he wants to see Man United play" Is that clear enough for you?

Is that the Wigan which every season it is in the Premier League has had larger crowds than the rugby club, the best known and most successful rugby league one? Considering only 90,000 live in Wigan, which has a load of top clubs nearby, their crowds compared to the ones we get from a city of 250,000 people with another 500,000 or so for who City are the nearest football club and no top clubs nearby, then We ha e more to embarrassed about as far as crowds go.

I hope they do have some system for prioritising away tickets if they've scrapped away direct

Those are the fans who should get first chance on premier league away tickets

They're not scrapping away direct, they're just changing the way it's administered, as the old way is in breach of some sort of data protection rules.

Some of us work away and it doesn't make financial sense to buy a season pass. I go to all the matches I can get to but if we are in the PL next season I will be surprised if I get to any

Most "new pass holders" are those who would normally come to a good proportion of home games, sometimes go away but are pushed to commit to the full programme of home games to guarantee themselves a ticket when the Man U's, Chelsea's etc come to town, as demand from glory hunters is likely to make it difficult to get a ticket. It is not those who buy a pass for premiership seasons you should have a problem with, it is those who would come to "top 5" games next season and none others denying regular, non-passholding supporters the opportunity to go to the plum fixtures that cause the problem. The problem is caused further down the demand chain than you seem to acknowledge.
