Which, if any, of the newly relegated sides will gain automatic promotion straight back to the Premier League, or reach the playoffs?
I think West Ham and Birmingham will bounce back even if they lose their top players. Both their respective owners will pump more cash in for decent players capable of returning them to the Premiership. West Ham in particular with the Olympic Stadium project approaching fast......
This was a serious 'thought' and you had to ruin three very plausible possibilities with a very childish and stupid one. I mean; Birmingham? 2nd?
I can see the Hammers & Brum being involved at the top of the table, but think Blackpool may struggle.
I'm pretty sure West Ham will implode this summer, with most of their first XI leaving. Green, Upson, Parker, Ba, Hitzlsperger will go at the least.
Hi Dev. There are going to be some strong teams in next season's championship. I think Birmingham will win it all. Leeds, Cardiff, West Ham, Leicester have come good, Forest will be even stronger and Blackpool and Burnleh will be hanging on. If we finish in the top 10 it will be some achievement. Southampton need to spend too, if they think they are going anywhere soon.
Blackpool will be the least likely to challenge for the bounce back. Top ten for Pompey would assume a buyer and some investment. Without it, wont the team be weaker than this seasons? Saints will spend wisely and I am confident of a top half finish for us. I would be surprises if both Brum and West Ham are not in the mix.
