Just wondering what everyone's thoughts are about Graham after his performance against his boyhood club? Not a loaded question, just interested.
Think he showed that he wants to be here, he battled, and he desperately wanted to win. That's enough for me, hope he gets a goal on Sat, fresh start.
I thought he was a good link up He put his head in where it hurt, and occupied their defence well Easily his best performance for us
I have been more disappointed in the delivery to him so far, can't doubt his workrate. Just said on another thread his celebration after AJs goal spoke volumes.
Ran himself in to the ground - nobody can complain about his effort. Possibly a little short on quality but with a couple of goals under his belt then who knows. Happy with his efforts today
The lad had a blinder to be fair. Ran and worked his arse off. I said his performance today would be crucial. He showed, like the other lads, they want to be here. I would love to see him score too on Saturday.
The whole team put in a shift today. DG did very well I think a goal will give him a massive lift. If we can show the same passion and graft like we did today I don't see why we can't end Our awful bad run of results against Everton. I'm really looking forward to PDC first game In charge at home. I think it will be a sell out
If anyone recorded the match look at our break for the third goal DG was awful he had 20 yards on Vaughan and when sess was running he broke into a light jog he seemed ****ed
Its hard to criticuse anyone after that result but yes Graham did put a shift in but he has a long way to go before he changes my opinion. Also to be fair to him he must have been carrying a knock because he couldnt support the attacks also that header back across the goal when Krul hurt his shoulder, Chopra esc wasnt it? haha Overall I think he is only ever going to be second fiddle to Fletcher at Sunderland but he seems happy with that and I suppose he is decent competition. One thing to point out though, McClean was absolutely shocking.
The Talksport commentators gave Graham the man of the match. On a day when all 11 played their hearts out. You can't do better than that.
I dont want to get on his back too much after yesterday but anyone could have made that pass but his overall game and fitness was dire. I think he simply thinks he has 'made it' when he was given a big money contract.
