That challenge from aguero might get looked at after the game. Here's hoping that he'll be banned for next Sunday! <ok>

If Foy says he didn't see the incident, then Aguero should get at least a 3 game ban. Depends on his report, I suppose.

Nasty move by Aguero, but the commentators seemed puzzled as to why he did it.
Exactly the same move by Luiz as he pulled off last week. Little look over the shoulder, followed by a full swing of the elbow.
Only difference was that this time his opponent saw it coming, didn't take it full in the face and responded in kind.

Both should be banned, but I doubt either will. Small chance for the Argentinian and none for the Brazilian.

City also have Wigan midweek, so more time to knacker themselves!

  7. I was also surprised that they missed the elbow by Luiz. Aguerro is not 'that kind of player' as they say, and there had to be some in incitement. But I would be more than happy if Aggie was banned for our match. Both he and Dzeko have been repeat scores against us in recent times, but I think we have more chance of dealing with the latter.

To be honest I didn't notice Luiz's elbow either, although that's got more to do with my hangover and only half watching the game. Townsend is just a pro-Chelsea fool, it took him and Tyldesley a few replays to work out how poor his challenge on the Brentford player was too.

I had trouble deciding who I wanted to win this game. I thought Chelsea while it was going on, and have ended up glad City won. Now Chelsea face the fear it will all unravel, while City just might just take their eye off the ball, distracted by a big win and a game against Wigan they won't want to lose, I think. The pros and cons were very nearly equal, in any case.

I'm just wondering if these linesmen and refs are allowed to drive home.If they are,I think they are a danger on the roads with their poor eyesight!

    PNP Where are you?

How long have I been telling you Stoke will go down? Look at their last 5 games and tell me they will stay up. Goners, I finally put my money where my mouth is last week and backed them to go.

I've just looked at the goals and what a jammy three they were. A lucky rebound to Nasri and the other two off the woodwork, still it counts as luck.

That's a bold prediction DL seeing as Stoke still have to play us. They drew 0-0 at The Lane so who knows what will happen. I hope they do go down though, never have rated them.

And why did the lino not signal for a penalty for the tug on Torres's shirt?

We play them last, I think both of our fates will be decided by then away.

Yes, they look fit to me now, not sluggish and ambling round the pitch MON style (surely he saw that!), but sharper, pressing more quickly, playing them next would be worse imo.

On penalties, I agree with Roo, in general teams will get the odd handball, but the majority are by players who attack and carry the ball into the penalty box. We tend to mess around across in front of it, looking to find the likes of Defoe who only wants it into feet to create his own shooting opportunity, for that we get more free kicks. Its astonishing Lennon doesn't draw more pens, he dribbles into the box all the time...but stays on his feet too much. <whistle>
