YOU are the boss... What would YOU do? We are safe from relegation and we wont make the play offs. Would YOU give some youngsters a chance to see what they can do and see if they are worth keeping? This also would give them valuable minutes gaining 1st team experience in front of a good crowd. We may find another Ellis Harrison! Or would you keep playing the strongest team available? What would YOU do?
Strongest team available every time. If the youngsters show they're good enough in training they should be given a chance in games that matter. Anyhow, we want to finish as high as possible.
I think a bit more game time for those young players already on the fringe, Ollie Clark, Tom Lockyer, Mitch Harding; and a place on the bench for Jamie Lucas.
Yeah totally agree we need to finish in the top half the lowest the position we can finish is 16th and we don't want that after all the hard work that has been put in by everybody.
you seem to like him, he is a striker right? what type is he? a big lad or a does he have pace? do you think he got what it takes?
highest place can finish is 8th (joint 7th but major difference in goal difference). think if someone said when JW took over that if we would end up between 8th - 16th EVERY gashead would have been over the moon with this. our issue is our midfield. since o'toole left and woodards injured, we havent looked or sounded good at all and being dominated and over run just like we did before JW came. thats what JW needs to address asap for next season. this reason maybe the reason why we could end 16th this season.
Yes, he's usually the lone striker for the youth team. They play like the first team, one up front and an attacking midfield. He's a bit like Brunt; works his socks off, not afraid to chase down. Going to be a big lad, scored two of the three against Exeter on Saturday. Great attitude, no arguing or moaning. Perhaps lacks a bit of pace but worth having a look at. https://twitter.com/jaylucas50 Also...............feel for you when you get all that flak. Hope it's a good day for you!
I couldn't care less where we finish this time. We are safe at last and that's all that matters. It's all about next season now. We've had an excellent second part of the season and absolutely crap first part. So the overall picture for this season has to rate as completely unacceptable. Anything less than the playoffs is just not good enough! We should give the untried and untested a chance. We have four halves left, so we can run out at least four. It's no point sticking them all in the same time, they need to be bedded into a decent professional unit. JW needs to know who might make the grade!!
Given all the injuries we are playing the youngsters already so its slightly academic. Also what about the bonuses linked to current contracts JW and the players, assume they wish to finish as high as possible. Same as Saph happy we have avoided an end of season dogfight cannot see us taking many points from the next two as we struggled vs Southend so the next two will be dire to watch if that match was anything to go by!.
