We may have had this convo before Sid, but I hate Laphroaig.
    Cough mixture taste to me.

    I'm now in another dilemma........

    I love whisky

I love onion bhajis and Madras curry

    I love my kids

    After today I love PDC

    The dilemma????????

Can't decide which I love the most. :p

if you go to whisky tasting in scotland they will get you to taste it with and without water. they tell you some malts are better with a small amount of water in them as it opens up yhe flavours.
I was one of the die hards who never put water in , but now I give it a try as it can totally change a whisky

but at the end of the day what you like is the right thing for you

    but give it atry

MR, the Islay malts are amongst my favourites. They mature the barrels in open warehouses by the sea, so the iodine infuses the whisky to give it that medicinal quality.

Otherwise, I used to drink loads of the Macallan, but they stopped using sherry casks and went to oak, and now it's too woody for my taste. Why they tried to fix something that didn't need fixing, I'll never know.
