I will say congrats on making it to the top tier early, but for being second best in wales..... gotta finish top 10 + win a cup + play in europe first Anyway, enjoy it because it sure as hell wont be easy to stay up (ask QPR hahaha) and here's looking forward to the nail biting derbies!
Did you think you would survive in your first year VD? You have shown it can be done, so I don;t see any reason for us to assume we will go straight back down. We all know it will be tough, but we will have a different looking team by the time the transfer window shuts. We will not have the same squad you know.
Been here all along Sussex, but got well pissed with the mods stopping the banter all the time and stopped posting. Just let the team do the talking for me lol.
I know it's going to be hard, but I hope we have a pretty good relationship with the Swans next season. I mean we are both Premier League clubs now A bit of derby banter would do me, but not the hostile crap we see some times, It got pretty messy on here a while ago.
Just read a thread on the Swans board and I see Norway Jack is still the illiterate ill informed jerk off he's always been.
Yeah, his last reply is the same ol stuff. Claims the owner "Ting Tong" won't spend money and our style is rubbish.....well Mr.Tan and our rubbish style got us promoted. Giving us **** about being red and the Dragons doesn't bother me. Why should I care what they think of our owners business decisions. The non stop slagging of Tan and the owners is what got to me when I took the hiatus. As someone who lives in Asia, the racist overtures by quite a few of the regular posters over there was too much for me especially when they would then try to say there was nothing wrong in it. Dai still does it. Anyway, I will do my best to ignore the ignorant and debate with their good posters .
Always the easiest one to bring down to earth with a bump though Taff. He spends most of his time trawling every Cardiff board for bad news. Sad but true.
Siam, he is allegedly in Norway so I would have thought he would have an inkling his term for VT is racial stereo-typing. As for his other comments, they are driven by bile and a deep seated insecurity which has manifested itself in his online persona. ITI, yep, he's easily seen for what he is but his ignorance and thick skin means he believes everything he writes.
yes, some of them dont half talk ****e at times, i think it would do some of them good, to be knocked down a peg or two...........
Absolutely agree with the sentiments siam; like a bit of banter as long as it is good natured but some take it way too far. For the record I am very happy that Cardiff will be joining us and hope that the Premier League derbies will be a fixture for years to come. I would hope that Swansea posters can remember where we were just a few years ago, and where we could be now if events had panned out somewhat differently. I have loads of mates from Cardiff and, though I have revelled in the banter over the years, I am genuinely chuffed that they will get the opportunity to enjoy the kind of matches I have been lucky enough to attend the last couple of years. We all know how emotionally painful football can be at times and I have taken no pleasure in any difficulties Cardiff have had over the years (as posters who know me on here will know I'm sure) - Swansea have had more than their fair share of difficulties over the many years I have been following them so it always pisses me off when certain posters (from all clubs) can't wait to gloat over others misfortune. Wales is a small country and it's hard enough coping with the bitterness that comes our way from over the border without fighting amongst ourselves. We have a chance in the coming years to show the world what a truly passionate derby is. I hope this isn't spoilt by petty infighting. And I hope the idiots from both our clubs can finally grow up and realise how lucky they are to have two clubs playing at the highest level, and not denigrate their clubs image with childish behaviour. Healthy rivalry is fine, but we don't want to witness the kind of crap that occurred today in the Tyne/Wear derby. As I mentioned before, it is important to remember where we have come from, the recent 'Swansea story' has been a fairytale but it could just have easily have been a horror story, and that simple truth always tempers my conversations with 'rival' fans - we are all the same under the skin; our team is a big part of our lives, and the highs and lows are equally joyous and painful for all fans. So I would urge all posters to think before they post - banter is fine but if point scoring and bitterness is your aim I would suggest that you think how you would feel if the shoe was on the other foot. Some of the stuff I have read in the past has been downright nastiness masquerading as 'harmless' banter. Anyway, rant over. Am looking forward to a couple of great Welsh derbies next year, and discussing them with posters on here - you've always seemed like a pretty decent bunch to me and I have no bitter axe to grind. Hope we take 6 points off of you next season, but will be supporting you against the rest of the Premier League glory boys. And for the record I think you will do quite well in the top flight, and am looking forward to some healthy banter regardless of results. So well done Cardiff, welcome to the party and enjoy the ride - it really is all it's cracked up to be - everything about the Premier League is bigger and better, you're gonna love it!
Im betting both derbies will be the Boxing Day and New Years Day fixtures...Its the only way the FA can keep all us sheepshaggers in Wales for a few weeks
