38 points is pretty much safe, 39 points is safe

We will finish on 40 plus I imagine. 14th/15th ish. I can live with that.

Tough season but go and have a look at Fulham, Everton, Newcastle, Stoke etc and they've all had seasons where they've had to dig in and flirt with the drop. It happens. What counts is how we respond in the summer and with RVW we have the biggest indication of where we are headed.

Just want a win versus Reading so bad. So very, very badly.

Any win will relieve so much pressure. Look at Sunderland today and Newcastle last week. City's win over Everton was just that but we've let two winning positions slip now. At least we're getting into winning positions. I've got a good feeling this Saturday.

I think any team involved at the top or bottom would like to play Reading on Saturday. We have that luxury.

Doesn't mean an automatic three points though. I am expecting a war and not just with Reading. Not sure the officials will take kindly to us showing their weaknesses all over the TV the last few days.

Referees is a proper boys club, they all stick together. ****ing useless.

I so want a win over Reading after their apparent gloating when they beat us late in the season we slipped out of the Championship. What goes round...

Im afraid Sunderlands victory has dropped us right in it im afraid.

We have an equal chance than the other 3-4 teams of going down. It will depend if any team down there can pull out a bit of form at the end of the season.

Wigan are very good at it and I cant see Villa going down. If we dont win against Reading I think it may be us.

I think there is a good chance we will go down. Everyone is seeing wigan as being below us and almost certain they will lose their 2 games in hand. See arsenal away last season. They have what it takes as they have proved again and again, today will give sunderland a massive boost and may put them on a good run of form.

Villa have Lambert in charge and he knows how to fight, as we know. The only other possibillity is Stoke, who knows?

Paying the price for not going for it at home when we really should of against teams that were around us.

I have had a bit of a bad day sorry!

I have seen our buffer from relegation slowly being erroded as we have turned in some truly awful and spineless performances. I just do not have the hope that you guys have that we have what it takes.

I wish I did. I really do. I am miffed how we have allowed ourselves to get in this position.

Reading is pretty much a must win
Of the main protagonists, villa, Wigan and Sunderland have won games recently
Ourselves and stoke haven't, we need to buck that trend on Saturday for sure

I think we've alot more going for us than Stoke. They are sitting ducks at the moment, our legs work with a slight hobble.

Yes,that is my take on it too.As I said I think 4/1 odds against Stoke is very generous indeed.I can only assume that it's because of Wigan being in the cup final and having toug.h fixtures

Of all our remaining fixtures I think Stoke is the one best suited for us, I can't see us losing a lot in the air and I think Tettey with Fox could be a real match winning combination. Stoke do nothing with the ball in the centre, its all width and long crosses.

Well I can't see the point in two back there, you need numbers in front of your back four to block space, long ball really doesn't need space . Tettey sitting in front of them would be fine, he's quicker than what they have and it will be easy for him to break forward.

I think our centre backs will mop up everything they throw to be honest.

I think Stoke could well be a case of 2 teams cancelling each other out. We only seem to score from set-pieces and crosses, and so do they. If both defences play well, we'll probably be looking at a 0-0. I'd like to see Hughton play Fox, Hoolahan and Tettey in midfield in the hope of creating something centrally, but I can't see it happening.

Yes, the Stoke game has 0-0 written all over it doesn't it. Probably suits us ok, but I'm sure they've got that game down as a 3 pointer.
