Northern - just one little quibble with your 'Pulis speech'

We do not deserve anything, we have no God given right to be anywhere, individually and/or collectively.

We have to EARN that right and Pulis & Co are failing to do so

If he isn't feeling the pressure, it is for EVERYBODY from Coates down to make sure he bloody well does.

If he won't sack him after the Villa debacle, he's hardly going to sack him if we lose to the **** is he? Even for this joke of a rag it's completely awful.

TONY PULIS faces the sack at Stoke — if they get tonked by Manchester United today.
His future will be decided in the next 48 hours. And a shambolic defeat to United could end his seven-year Britannia reign.
It may seem harsh that Pulis’ tenure will be decided by a game against the runaway Premier League leaders.
But the atmosphere at the training ground is at an all-time low and the board are starting to panic.
The Potters have won one of their last 13 league games and sit three points above the drop zone.
Pulis wants Stoke’s grumbling fans to get behind the team. They were booed off after last week’s 3-1 home loss to Aston Villa, a defeat which set alarm bells ringing.
After United, Stoke face fellow strugglers QPR, Norwich and Sunderland.

Sarg
Nice one mate but..
Waddo has already put this on another thread mate.. still, what's that last sentence all about.. The F A are set up an investigation.? Hope it's Millwall and nothing else.
Is it Bull Sarg.. maybe lazy pundits at the Sun have nothing else to write about.

Waddo,

He would have to be a dynamic manager to do anything this late, still think Pulis is doing this on purpose, whether it is to stay up by the skin of our teeth and therefore justify lowering of expectations or just cutting his nose off to spite his face because he wasn't given more money to waste. Either way he is a despicable man (very loose terminology) who should be shown the door at the earliest opportunity, i would also like to see him prosecuted for every penny he's got.

Shotton must be on for his long throws rather than any other ability, a bit like always playing Delap because we may bet a goal out of it.

I think he has had enough and wants the sack. Why else would you keep making the same mistakes week in and week out. Nothing ever changes!

Because of ONE man Waddo... he's ****** and I'm now certain he KNOW it! Sadly, so are STOKE CITY. PULIS you T**T I would rather we lost that game TRYING we didn't feckin TRY with Whelan and Shotton when we have other's (left on the bench) who CAN play and would TRY.

Potts,

The conductor of this farce is the only man to blame, these players can play much better than this and would get us to stay up if played in the correct formation and given more freedom.

I thought this was a good post;

I feel awful saying this, you've done everything for the club - but your first reign ended in a great deal of anger and ill-feeling because you were seen to let the club drift into the crap, football wise. Hate to say it but your second reign may end the same way because you didn't act to stop this current disastrous drift while there was still time.

End of January - fair enough we all get bad runs. Mid-Feb, start to worry seriously. Any time from start of March you could have intervened, any time from mid-March you should, not intervening and relieving Tone of his duties after the Villa game was criminal imho - and now it probably is too late, unless you've been holding meetings all week and have a De Canio-type new appointment to announce on Monday and only held back because we'd lose to Man U anyway. I so hope that's what's going to happen but if not - you've been beyond brilliant for SCFC this time round but at this moment, the finger is pointing at you

Smithers,

Seems like the gloves are coming off and I think we can all understand the guys sentiments, I would like Coates to stay but if he doesn't get rid of Pulis or at least state a departure date for him then more posts like this will surface. I can understand an old fashioned sticking to your principles but he needs to be dynamic in his own right and very soon.
