i usually dont get annoyed by things like this, but the whole show order was bollocks... why was blackpool v burnley showed before wolves v hudds, which was one of the biggest games of the day?.. why was leicester v birmingham showed before us and watford? also has been mentioned nearly every radio show on the way home, almost went out there way to avoid mentioning our win ..
Everytime Clem features a club. They lose on the day it's shown. So i'm glad he featured Watford this week. Hopefully he'll have features on Wolves , Bristol City, Barnsley & Cardiff lined up.
Highlights are usually shown in order if league position. Leicester and Brum was the Sky game so it had extended highlights. Cardiff and Forest were the main game on the world feed so BBC can show extended of that too. The only thing BBC actually pick is where Clem goes.
Running order should really be done in the following way: Games played first - ie Friday night and lunchtime games before the Saturday afternoon games, any changes in position it causes can be given then and it doesn't mean anything about other results has been given away (providing commentary is done "live"). Games involving the highest placed teams down to the lowest - that way it avoids the situation where Team A moves up 3 places and you know before you've seen the highlights of the other 3 team's games that they can't have won. I realise a team could lose and drop places, but they don't usually comment on that where as they do comment on a win moving a side up the league. Which games get longer highlights should be irrelevent of that, just extend the time given to that game in it's existing slot in the programme.
Yeah, so they don't have to travel so far. It's not rocket surgery, most of the broadsheets Premier League reporters are London based - would you prefer to get home at 8pm or 1am the next morning? It's no wonder they'd prefer Watford to get promoted. The tabs at least tend to have Norvern reporters or just use an agency.
