Like when I saw TTT 11 times at the cinema and each time I noticed something new and different (also with the Fellowship).... at least the first few times.

What, Bailey's and Guinness? The two on their own alone are national drinks, but then quite how something could be the national drink of Ireland is beyond me.

Yeah mixed together, looked like some one had puked in it. So I downed it as quick as I could. Not going to waste a free drink am I?

Anything with Bailey's added to it looks like puke. The Bailey's always seems to curdle or something when mixed with anything :p

True, Bailey's should never be added to another drink.

Just thinking about downing a pint of Guinness makes me feel bloated.

Had a friend in grad school who wouldn't order anything but Guinness. This wasn't a problem until he'd pick up a round three hours deep into the evening, when everyone had already put away 4-5 beer, at which point the Guinness might as well have been a 19th-century lead cannonball placed in one's stomach.

I find it hard to believe people in Ireland actually drink Baileys and Guiness together.

People do however, drink this in the US. You pour the Baileys into a shot glass and the Guiness in a pint glass. You drop the shot glass into the pint glass, causing the mixture to foam up. Then you chug it, otherwise it curdles and tastes even more like crap. This is known as an "Irish Car Bomb" which I would think would be offensive to everyone in the UK and Irish people and just about everyone who isn't stupid.

I should add that not all Americans are stupid nor do most of them drink this. There is a strong correlation between number of "Irish Car Bombs" consumed per annum and the frequency of usage of the term "brah."

Crowd trouble in the Wigan end at Wembley yesterday? Did the two blokes who turned up have a pop at one another?

Yet again, some Millwall fans act like complete twats. What exactly are they achieving apart from further damaging the club's reputation and ruining the day for the proper fans. Some people really do disgust me.

Millwall took 32K fans...many of those will be hangers on probably looking for trouble. Feel very sorry for true fans (especially those with children) who had been looking forward to a day out at Wembley.

Think Fran is right. Several other London clubs had no game yesterday.

So it's the morning after the night before, and while the disappointment still lingers, I guess it's no longer so raw. So my plan is to still pursue this course as after all, she has postponed twice before when there was no chance of us being more than friends, so this isn't completely without precedent and despite this, I still have strong feelings for her, that hasn't changed, and she is an amazing person and it's not like there's anyone else realistic so it's not like I'm necessarily missing out. I guess that's the problem with being attracted to uni girls who aren't doing doss courses like human geography *cough*

The question is, do I wait or do I act? By acting I mean, just cutting to the chase and telling her my feelings for her on Facebook. As I've mentioned before, I don't want to just waste time pursuing something which has no chance, but I don't know what degree of chance it has, so at least I'd know. Plus if she is genuinely interested, then she'd still be interested whether I use Facebook/text or in person. Likewise, if she's genuinely not interested, she'd still not be interested even in person (probably). However, doing it in person may be more effective.

And then there's the waiting argument: I don't won't to waste time pursuing something that's never gonna happen yet and if it's never gonna happen, it's never gonna happen in real life or Facebook, on the other hand, if it could happen, it might have a better chance of succeeding in person. Furthermore, when you've liked someone for 18 months, a couple of weeks isn't THAT much in comparison possibly.

What does the collective wisdom of this forum think?

What's the worst that can happen and is that more upsetting than living with regrets!

Personally I would try to wait it out and tell her in person. And similar to what Lamb said, if you think it's worth a shot then go for it. Who knows, it might work perfectly for you.

It was the Milwall fans, there wasn't enough Wigan fans at the game to make it worthwhile fighting.
