It's about having to make the decision before we know whether or not we're going to be in the Premiership. If we don't go up but they've already committed to the outlay on a season ticket; they'll have to pay whether they can afford to or not, rather than taking it a game at a time. If we do go up and they've decided not to risk it because they're worried about the commitment, they'll probably struggle to get tickets for most games.
If someone thinks that they'll get a season ticket for the Premier League, but not the Championship, then I don't give a **** if they get one or not. I appreciate that some people can't afford a season ticket at the moment, but that being the case, it shouldn't matter what league we're in.
The point being that if we're in the Premier League but you haven't got a season ticket, you're going to struggle to get to games, if last time is anything to go by. That's generally not been an issue in the Championship. What I'm trying to say is that not everyone will be making the decision based on whether or not they'll be watching Premier League or Championship football but will be weighing up what they can afford against whether they'll get to see any games at all. I hope I've now managed to explain that a bit better.
