"It was an almost perfect away premier league performance. To go to a tough place like Reading and keep a clean sheet is just fantastic and winning the possession battle was just the icing on the cake" Or something like that, probably.
Got to get fifth for Europe anyway. If the FA Cup winners are already in Europe then the place goes to the runners-up. With the teams that are left in and the draw made for the FA Cup, it is impossible for it to go any further than that.
Frustrating result, frustration slightly lessened by the mashed going 5th, only slightly though.. Suarez should have put that one away, the cutback from sturridge, that was the one! Bollox! Downing looked decent when he came on today. Next game please.
Its doesn't. we've had this debate before in another thread. If Chelsea win the FA cup and finish 5th they qualify for the Europa as cup winners (its the higher seeding). Their 5th place spot in the Europa then goes to the 6th place team.
I think these last few games have shown Suarez for what he is im afraid to say. Whilst he's a very very good player he isn't world class. A world class player would have dragged us out of that dire game with a win. He never scores when it truly counts, unlike twatty bale who is the only one keeping spurs in the European spots. Suarez goes missing far too often.
Not at all but its not going to make you look genuine, especially if you are going to create new threads each time despite there a designated match thread for every game! If you are genuine then fair enough, I apologise for calling you a wum. You know what your intentions are so take it whichever way suits...
Are you serious? Luis Suarez has been accused of a lot of things, but one thing you could never accuse him of being is someone who "goes missing". He had a poor game last weekend, this weekend he was alright (by his standards) and was only denied a goal because of McCarthy having a ridiculously good game. But in general one could be forgiven for mistakenly thinking we have 6 or 7 players all called Suarez with the amount of times he is on the ball or near the action. Absolutely ridiculous statement.
I don't think Suarez is world class but that really depends on your definition. He isn't good enough at finishing IMO, and before someone mentions the scoring charts, I am looking at chances to goals! However, I wouldn't say Suarez guess missing. Even in his poorest games he still puts his self about and works hard for the team.
Indeed he's always on the ball, in the action etc. never said he wasn't. I said he never scores when it truly counts, unlike Gerrard has and does, and I stand by that.
Suarez is world class. The way he influences almost every game he plays, his movement and some of the goals he scores are just out of this world. He was actually bought as mainly a creative player to play behind the striker or on the wing but its testament to his ability as a player that he's been relied on this season as our main striker and goalscorer and has managed to score loads of goals while still having massive involvement in the build up play and influencing every game. And on top of all that ability he has so much desire and determination to succeed as a player. His work ethic, determination and desire is unmatched in the premier league.
