Great game to watch as a neutral, really disappointing as a Red. We had more than enough chances to bury the game but just lacked cutting edge. Suarez seems to have gone off the boil and Sturridge isn't as sharp as when he first came. We need another striker this summer to challenge them, there was no forward option on the bench today - just some 'attacking' midfielders.

That was clear when we got knocked out of Europe a few months back.

I do recall there being a poll on when we will be back, with a lot of deluded people saying next season. Sadly for me, I see it being many many years.

I agree with Swarbs' point but there is still also some good luck involved for them. We weren't good enough to make that bit of luck not matter.

We need one more striker (who specializes in finishing rather than moving). However someone a little better than Carroll before anyone reminds me that he may come back.

We also need a Carragher replacement if Skrtel has gone off the boil.

That I think is it, lets not go all knee jerk here.

People being optimistic about their club, how dare they, eh?

Thankfully Liverpool Football Club has brilliant fans like yourself who love being proved right, even if it means Liverpool aren't as doing as well as hoped on the pitch.

  9. I said a couple of weeks back, give me the option between a in-form Suarez, Torres, Owen or Fowler to be in the current side and I'd choose Robbie every time: guaranteed goals!

Still think Coutinho looked pretty good, should have had a few more assists had the finishing been better. If 1 out of every 4 signings comes good we might have a decent squad in about 8 years.

  13. Deluded means optimistic now does it? <doh>

TBF, at that point it looked like sixth place could get a European place.

Agreed Lucaas, we have had every chance to be right in thick of a 4th-5th battle but we have only ourselves to blame. SOuthampton, WHU, Reading all recently as Everton and Spurs have dropped points. Arsenal once again climbing back in 4th as well. Too many dropped points this season on a whole but 5th was most certainly there to be had.

  20. I can tolerate the truth and my toys are firmly in the pram since I expect nothing less than we got today. However, you are clearly a WUM with reasons being highlighted in the reason for closing one of the threads <doh>

Edit: and quit the name calling, otherwise you won't have a chance to wum this board <ok>
