The game is scheduled to take place at The Madejski Stadium on Saturday 13th of April 2013 with a kick-off of 3PM. English T.V won’t be showing the game but streams showing the game will be posted on this thread before and during the game. Preview. Reading's previous spell in the Premier League came to an end on the final day of the season five years ago when they were relegated on goal difference, but it's highly unlikely to go to the wire this time round. They're bottom of the table, eight points short of safety and with only five matches remaining after this awkward-looking encounter with Liverpool. Things looked more promising early in the new year for Reading when they won four out of six league games, but it proved to be a mirage and their season very quickly went into reverse. The Royals have lost all eight league and cup matches they've played since 3 February. In seven league games during that time, the division's leakiest defence has conceded a further 17 goals while only five have been scored at the other end. Liverpool travel south in decent form with four wins and just one defeat in their last half dozen games. They're six points better off than at the same stage last year and will equal their points tally of 52 for the whole of last season if they win this one. That tally last May was the club's lowest since the introduction of three points for a win just over 30 years ago, and this season has been all about being seen to be moving in the right direction under Brendan Rodgers in his first season in charge. I think the club are definitely on an upward trajectory and, while they are still a fair distance short of where they want to be, some of the football played this season has been really impressive. This will be only the 10th meeting between the clubs in all competitions. Liverpool won the reverse fixture 1-0 earlier this season with a first senior goal from Raheem Sterling. It also gave Rodgers his first home league win as Liverpool manager. This weekend's game will be only the third for Nigel Adkins since he took over at Reading, as he looks for a first victory at his new club on the back of two defeats. - Match preview taken from http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/22049679 - Injury News. I have voted for a draw so thats one part of the jynx gone. if bluff stayss of that'll be good but i have yet to put o nthe lucky shirt. we could be in trouble. any gossip as to who's gone on the trip?
Dear LFC, you right ****ed it up, and lost the last match in front of the old Kop, try to redeem yourselves by winning the first match of the post-maggie era! many thanks....
- Got the home shirt on - Bluff's watching it - I've predicted a win - Lawro's predicted us to win - We are odds on favourite - I'm not wearing socks - We are playing a relegation threatened team We're gonna lose
No chance of a win imo. I team fighting for survival against a team who are useless and have Downing.
The worst thing about these games is that we think we've won before kickoff. Our players never learn and think they're better than they actually are.
I see Reading parking the bus in the hope of a point. They'll concede the first at about 15-20 minutes and then attempt to push forward, leaving huge holes at the back which the reds will exploit to the full. 0-4.
Anyway, who cares about this? There is a live streamed Psy concert on YouTube...Oppa Gangnam Style!!!
For a minute there I thought you'd said "Any player who feels they've got nothing to play for should be shot on the pitch!
When a team needs a win they often get it against us. Almost every year something like this happens. However, i'll stick to my guns and say 1-3 Liverpool. First goal absolutely crucial. We score and they may colapse, they score they'll fight until the end.
Got nothing to play for????????????? Playing for one of the most famous club football teams in the world, suggests strongly they have a lot to play for. Any player that plays with a heartless attitude can **** off to another club
