O/T - Has Chris Burke just sealed the outcome of a bet?

Now that Leicester are 13 behind us with only 12 to play for am I right in thinking that someone on here has just won a bet?

 

Leicester are certainly doing their best to avoid the play offs!

 

Is that what the bet was? I thought it was just for us to finish above them again.

 

If you're on about AKCJ having to have our logo as his avatar then you're right it was just about us finishing above them.

I had a bet on with about 9 different Leicester fans who were regulars in my old pub. Throw in a Leeds fan and a Blackpool fan and that's going to be a great night out for absolutely **** all while getting all the bragging rights. Superb....

So what happens if Leicester go up through playoffs and Hull don't?

 

If you think that's going to happen, cover your original bet. But what are you going to forfeit if it doesn't happen?

 

I'd be worrying about you making the play offs in the first instance.

I'm fairly sure the bet was who would finish higher in the league. AKCJ if you can find the original thread we might be able to have a double or quits bet if you like!

No, AKCJ we may not win the play offs BUT we may finish 2nd. All of us on here will remember the Leicester fans still giving it large quite recently about how they were going to finish above us. And at the moments points are the most important thing, as with numerous teams having various motivations to play for no result is betable on with any certainity.

 

That's an interesting point, if we ended up 3rd, and LCFC ended up 6th, then they went on to win the playoffs, would we still be considered to have finished higher seeing as in the final tally, they'd leapfrog us into the PL?

They won't of course, just a hypothetical question.

 

Yes, we'll still have finished higher up the league. We wouldn't have got anything for doing it, but we would have finished higher.

 

I tend to agree with that view tbh, and in all honesty, hate the playoffs anyhow.
