I'm not sure why the Ashley Young thread got closed. I felt it was actually a good topic for debate, so I'm going to assume it was closed because Matth created.

After almost two full seasons at the club, what are your guys thoughts about his place in the squad?

i Think whenever he played, he had a good game but the problem with him this season, everytime he seemed to be getting back his form, injuries always push him back.

An up and down season, when played he does give his all and has good games but like i said injuries push him back.

his best game this season has been Man City 2-3 Man Utd away, he was superb that game.

I think after the season finishes, he can have rest and come back stronger next season.

For me it a case of just a bad season, just like Valencia, Kagawa and Nani, but just like young they have had their injury problems, Nani by far has been the worst of the wingers and he deserves the flack he gets. Young will have the summer off, no internationals a good pre season under his belt, but nxt year will have Zaha breathing down his neck that should keep the wingers on their toes

I think Young is a good player, potentially a very good player.

Injury free he might get some confidence back and become they player he looked like he would when he first joined us. More than prepeared to give him very chance next season.

One of our wingers has to go though and I would say that is Nani, who is the best player of them all sadly but seems determined to waste it. He'd also fetch best price I guess so cheerio Nani for me.

For me sell Nani and test the water of how much Everton can hold onto fellaini, I think we could to with a Powerhouse to push our midfield on. Valencia,Young,Zaha will be our out and out wingers, knowing fine well Rooney,Kagawa,Welbeck even Hernandez can also fill in if we get an injury, Nani seems destined to waste the talent we all know he has.

He's got a shot on him but I can't say I have watched him enough to develop a proper opinion.

He's the only one of our three "wingers" who can actually cross a football.

Young was terrific in his last season for Villa and early part of his first season with United. Well he was the best performing player for England too. Crosses and long range finishes, he was doing it all, so I think it's all about confidence, which always seems to be the case with the wingers in general. One thing though, he is just so feeble and fragile, he gets injured too easily.

PS: I think I need to start a thread on the physicality of our players.

Fergies probably just letting him adapt and train with the first team to get him some more experience. I he'll get some game time next year. Still wish Pogba hadn't ****ed off though. He's exactly what we need in the midfield right now, and chances are he'd be starting here had he stayed.

Yeh I've seen him a few times for Juve in the league looks strong, powerful running and scored a few goals aswell, I just hope that in the summer we buy a Powerhouse of a midfielder.
