I really can't see this either. Warnock trusts them as players, and wants players of their character in the changing room. Agreed they probably won't play all season - but the Derry wasn't supposed to last season either, just no one told him. Not sure we really need Ambrose anyway, where would he play?

Do Danns, Clyne and Speroni and i might be tempted. But, Palace will never offer this and Warnock will never agree to this Ambrose deal.
For those who are tempted(Nil), is Ambrose really better than we've already got?

    TBF to Eddie Bakes,
that good ITK, CernyBerny on 606, did post that King was at the training ground,
so maybe that did nearly happen.

Not Cr@p bakes8, watch this space mate! Warnock is no mug, he knows the capability's of certain players regarding performing in the premiership and trust me Derry and Hill will be surplus to requirements... As to Marlon, Warnock wanted him but the board said no, cos of his misdemeanour's....FACT!!

Derry and Hill will definitely find it tough next season but I think we could do with getting rid of Connolly, Hall and Helgs from the first team before I'd go near them. I think they'll be given a chance and when they start f****ng up, they'll be dropped and used as squad players. Lets face it: Almost our entire squad as it is would struggle in the Prem and thats why I think COLIN will be getting in a half dozen decent players before August.

Who cares if he releases these two if he brings in two that are better?

I may be a sentimental old fool, but I do. They have done a great job getting us to the Premier League, I think they deserve a chance.

Let's stick a bit more abstract spin on this... I know Marlon Crim's granddad Harold, a subbie who claims to have been the first Jamaican in Brixton to have owned a Rolls.

From what I've heard about young Marlon over the years, I'm well glad he never came our way, though what all this has to do with Derry and Hill beats me too!! Just thought I'd chip in with a extra portion of trivia.

Forget Derry and Hill for now. What I want to know is whether you think we should keep hold of Buz:emoticon-0110-tongu

Light the blue touch paper and retreat.

What is the other advice? Oh yes, do not return to a lit firework....

Reminds me so much of the Rodney quote to Sir Alf Ramsay, that does. Unless they get that friend of Giggs to do it, I think the guys would probably prefer a cup of tea....

I Really can't see Hill or Derry leaving, especially for someone like Ambrose who also isn't PROVEN in the Prem.

We have no left back if Clint leaves and no holding midfielder if Derry leaves but an abundance of wide/attacking midfielders in the position that Ambrose plays.

    Makes no sence at all..........

Re. Akos. I think we would all like him to stay, just think he is on the fringes of the squad and is a player that would command a fee where he to leave. What with him being a big earner at the club as well, I can see Akos leaving (unfortunately).

I've changed my mind. Give Buz a new five year contract, the Captains armband and the number 10 shirt!!

Good debate started by a piece of speculation. Has anyone considered that Derry and Hill may actually relish another full season in the Championship rather than being bit players in the Prem? I guess at their age they need to weigh up the financial benefits of both set-ups and also their one and only chance of playing top tier football.

Buzsaky can still make it to the top. He needs to believe in himself again and work on fitness levels. Imagine the Buz we saw when he first arrived playing Premier League football. Mouthwatering.
