A picture of an implosion. This is what is happening to the spuds season. Like last year, and the year before that, and so on etc..........Unless the year ended in a 1, cos they might win the FA cup or something. Imploding. It's a lovely word. Sorry, I've had a couple of beers and some Swiss cheese, so I'm rambling. Night Spuds, love you all xxx

Oh, dear, Gaffe! You really have let yourself down. "Imploding"? what the hell are you on about, son? The Basle team that beat us tonight will slaughter Chelsea, so it's no disgrace. We gave a go, in a competition that we were far stronger in than 'Pool. What it means is that we can concentrate all of our efforts to staying in that Top 4 spot and securing CL footy for next year.

You Mousers aren't even going to be in the Europa League, by the looks of things.

If you want to know what the real meaning of "implosion" is, just wait to see what happens to 'Pool when Goofy leaves for a bigger, better club, at the end of the season.

The aptly named Gaf opens his mouth and firmly inserts his foot - again. Maybe we will end up with no CL football. We were cheated out of it last year! Considering almost half of our first pick eleven are missing at the moment, we're still not doing too bad.

Oh, when does your season begin, by the way?

I'd agree, but you admitted that you posted a load of drunken waffle last night, so I think that Tots is just agreeing with that statement.
We don't ban people for one off incidents, either. Generally just a comment deletion or a reminder to keep it civil.

Everybody is going to slaughter Chelsea every week according to you HIAG. Spurs were going to do it, last year Bayern and Barca were going to do it. Every team every week is going to slaughter us.....

Basel really aren't all that, they are a decent side but a side Chelsea and Spurs should both comfortably be beating, even without key players you made them look ordinary in the 2nd leg. You lost the tie due to a poor first half in the first leg.

You wonder why Arsenal and Liverpool fans keep on coming here to WUM after a Spurs defeat, not fair to bring it all on your fellow fans all of whom have been relatively contrite.

We'd miss your Wumming though so I won't tell you otherwise :)
 
The "Daddies of Europe" have not won away from home in Europe since December 2011 v part time footballers Shamrock Rovers :p

Repeating the same thing on several threads, still doesn't make it true, Shamrock Rovers are a professional club.<doh>

They were formed in 1901 and went full time in 1977.
