Someone was on about him yesterday. They were reckoning he's on 100 K a week. Too pricey if so.

 

Not sure about Remy, from what I've seen he's pretty hit and miss. As for Borini...I'd swap him for Heskey nevermind Remy

 

£8m is nothing for a player with the potential Remy has, but as mentioned above - we won't be paying him 100k a week

 

5 goals in 8 games in a poor QPR team, he's scored some cracking goals. In my opinion the only hit & miss is when he hits them and the keeper misses it

He's a proper striker though, I think he'd suit your team with Suarez and Sturridge both enjoying dropping deep and running at defenders from the wings at times, Remy will stretch the defence and keep them occupied.

 

I think he's a decent player but I would rather bring in a striker who can hold the ball up, compete in the air and still play on the deck. Bony would be a good shout.

 

good player but injury worry, there is a big reason why he went to qpr after all... then again if ba can then make it to chelsea i suppose anyhting is possible.

Carlos Zambrano: Frankfurt

Zambrano has been a key cog in Frankfurt's push for European qualification this season. Earlier in the year, the Peru centre-back was linked with a transfer to Liverpool as the Reds look for someone to replace Jamie Carragher and possibly for Martin Skrtel, who has not been at his best. Zambrano is a strong player, whose concentration is excellent and in 25 Bundesliga games he has made an average of 2.4 tackles per game as well as 2.3 interceptions

 

Is he a CB or RB? Or can he play in both roles? Don't know much about him so any info on his playing style would be good. Also, not sure how his figures are compared to our current defenders.

I can see us bringing in at least 2 new centre backs as we need to replace Carragher and Srktel/Coates. I would like us to get Sakho and Alderweirald - Sakho being the physical, fast, strong, dominant CB and Alder being the classy ball playing defender.

I am looking forward to the summer. We have seen this team improve over the course of the season - adapting to the new style and our attack actually score goals and has a lot more options with Coutinho and Sturridge.

I'm also interested to see who leaves. As mentioned Carra is definite with Coates and Skrtel likely. I think Downing will also leave. He has improved but he's certainly nowhere near good enough if we want to push on.

In addition, I hope we buy players with big club and big stage experience. Sakho, Alderweirald, Eriksen and Gameiro (possible targets) all play for a top club in their respective leagues, and I believe they have all played Champions League football. Moving to a big club like LFC shouldn't really faze them (I hope).

I have said this on other threads but look at Sturridge and Coutinho, and their impact on the team. Compare that to Adam, Carroll, Downing. Enrique and now Henderson look good but I believe the risk of players underperforming decreases significantly depending on their experience at a big club.

Even so, I can still see it happening, LFC changing managers but NOT LEARNING from the mistakes of the previous ones.Massively overpaying for British mediocrity

If it goes wrong and I can see it will, BR will have no one to blame but himself if he is sacked in the middle of next season
