Well... at 2-1 up I thought we'd go on and score a couple more but although we have lost 3-2, we are still in the last 4. We made many changes as well and Hazard, Mata, Ba, Ivanovic, Mikel, Oscar all got good rests which is good for Sunday. It is a long farking way to go and the pitch it terrible so we've got the job done and we're a step closer to Amsterdam which is all that matters!

I didn't think Terry had a good game tbh and Cech wasn't great in coming to get the ball from the air. Ramires wasn't good but Ake gave his all, Moses did well and Torres scored again! Another game gone and it's effectively a win. Onwards and upwards.

It was very hard , frustrating work watching that tonight, but with a scratch side out there I'm happy with the outcome!

  3. Let's hope we can see you in the next round. It would be a fantastic scalp for us to beat the reigning European Champions.

i still think we could go all the way and win this tournament. it looks like that Newcastle are up against it tonight! the spuds seem to have an easier tie but seem to be struggling without Gareth bale. so who knows basel to next round? they did knock united out of the champions league. torres now are top scorer in all comps ahead of mata by two and lampard by six. just needs to start showing his true form in the league.

    It most certainly would.

Unfortunately, I can't see us winning tonight. I hope I'm wrong, of course.

  14. You guys must be praying that we win tonight, as I expect you don't relish the prospect of Coco being destroyed by Basle. Am I right?

Motivation is the real issue now. The attitude of Ramires and Mikel was poor. Couldn't have made it clearer they didn't want to be there. We should be beating any of the sides left over 2 legs.

It's a chance to go to Amsterdam and also a chance to take on Dortmund/Bayern/Real/Barca in the Supercup as some form of redemption.

First leg at home against Fenerbache would be brilliant but I bet we get Basel
