To be honest, if the West Ham fans watched us at Upton Park earlier this season then it is no wonder that they are expecting a win. That was the worst performance I have seen from our side this season. This will not be an easy game but I would be disappointed if we lost the match. Three points would definitely guarantee safety.
Watched it again on the Saints Player, the other evening. Whilst we didn't play that badly, it was the time of the super-leaking defence, and 4-1 does give a slightly false impression, I feel. However, it's not a match I shall be going back into the archives to watch again, in a hurry, although Adam Lallana's goal was excellent, after good work by that man Rodriguez, showing the promise he is now starting to deliver.
There is little beween WHU and us on most stats...we are basing our confidence on us hitting form and being at home. Could go any which way, though betting sites are backing us and most money is going on a Saints win. Four on the bounce sounds good, doesn't it? Can't wait...it's the last match I can make this season.
It is probably just the West Ham goals and poor passing that make me think of this game as our worst of the season; we did score a very good goal.
I remember thinking we were on top first half. Then their goal after the break but when Adam scored and then Lambert came on I thought were going to go on and smash 'em only for our defence to collapse. 4-1 was more than flattering that day. We should win but one of those things in football Form means nothing.
Looking forward to this game, very happy west ham fans are feeling confident as they will be in for a surprise. This game will indicate how far we have come this season, as a team and in confidence. Also just checked the previous results apart from Man U champs select, no other team has done the double over us, so in other words to date all teams we have played twice we have taken points from. Considering the start to the season we had, I think that's pretty impressive.
The bookies have got saints down as favourites and West Ham dont have a good record at southampton. I think this will be a solid 2 - 0 to southampton.
I don't believe that for a minute. So he picked up a virus like, yesterday & they've let that slip to the media almost immediately. He's doubtful to recover over the next two days so maybe won't play. Man, they need to work on their B/S.
Woohoo...Didn't think I was going to be able to make this match (or West Brom) but my boss has taken pity on me (or become fed up with my whinging).
Ward-Prowse getting bullied there. What's with the training wearing a jumper on its own, and a jumper that is always seemingly too small for him?
Poch on Twitter - :"With the change from winter to 'less winter', some players have struggled to adapt. They have bugs so they might be a doubt." Don't know who he's referring to but not making me feel good :/
