Anyone having a flutter? I called it right last year with Watson( won £400) so will share my pearls of wisdom. Of the obvious choices I'd go Phil Mickelson. 13-1 Medium risk-Matt Kutcher. 40-1 Long shot- Brandon Grace. 330-1 Game on. .
330-1 does seem like an obscenely high price for a respectable player like Grace. I can't find any better than 12-1 against Mickelson, not that I could stand to back him anyway. I'm going for Stenson at 66-1 (75 on Betfair if you're going win-only).
I'm having a tenner each way on Grace and a tenner on Kuchar to win. For some reason Mickelson doesn't half wind me up. I'm still having a few quid in him though.
I have also always held an irrational dislike for Philly Mick. Do not overlook his left-handedness as a possibility, they always scare me on the course as it looks like they are about to fire a ball back down the fairway at you.
Tiger Woods to win at 8/1 then Watson/Bradley at 50/1 each way plus Rose 22/1 each way, got odds and places for first 6 last week. Love the Masters. Will hedge if necessary on Sunday and also hope Poulter goes well as he gets in the Yanks faces and Mcilroy
getting back to the golf................. If I back eachway, how many positions does it pay out on? And will it be a quarter of the odds?
Paddy Power online were doing 6 places and 1/4 of the odds might still get that if you are lucky and its as good as is available
I know this to be true CG, but why has he chosen Kirk Ella as his base? I remember he was asked that question by Alan Brazil on TalkShite and David just laughed. Do you know?
Though a genuinely nice fella I find Phil boring so I don't root for him outside the Ryder Cup. I fancy Freddie Jacobsen to win. His short game is sexy. You need that at Augusta.
I've gone Schwartzl at 25 and Snedeker at 40 e/w .....also Phil does look far too much like a twat to be likeable but i can see 12's being a good price for him this weekend
