http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/22098957 Uefa general secretary Gianni Infantino proposes new plans to combat racism in football, including 10-match bans for players found guilty of racist abuse. Piara Powar of anti-racism group FARE (Football Against Racism in Europe) says Uefa's announcement "sets the standard" for the way governing bodies deal with racism. Infantino and Powar were speaking at the Soccerex event in Manchester.
If a player gets a 10 match ban, are the club able to fine him his wages for the length he's not playing, as far as I'm aware 2 week fine is the most possible, didn't we have a dispute with Jimmy about overfining him?
He'll still be playing though won't he? He just won't be eligible for Europe for pretty much the entire season. 1st game of Champions League group = offence committed. 10 game ban = 5 group games, 2 games in round of 32, 2 quarter final games, and 1st leg of semi-finals. Some twat will do that and come back from the ban to score the winner in the 2nd leg of the semi and in the Final.
