We took 350 to QPR yesterday and yes I was embarrassed. I hate that we have such a small travelling support. It's sad that it becomes a stick to beat us with, it detracts from how much a club of our size has achieved on the pitch. In spite of the fact that we have a Wembley trip next weekend

Then I find out that when QPR came to the DW earlier in the season they sold 310 tickets. So we're getting it in the neck from so-called fans of a club with a worse travelling support than us.

My 2 or 3-0 prediction was well and truly blown out of the water because all i can say really about a game that did not live up to my or anybody else expectations that for me that QPR were more hungrier for the win than we were with Remy`s excellent goal on the break what our keeper was doing of his line that far i`ll never know. lucky Maloney had his kicking boots on and scored that killer goal(they are the best goals for me) right at the death was shear magic but there .was no need for the face-shall of studs on Gomez by Zamora was a justified red by the linesman.but all in all we were CRAP.

We may have a small away support HP but we make the loudest noise when we score goals at the death of a game give me that anytime than a big away following

310, is that worse than fulham??

They can't even sell 500 for Everton this week. It's on their official website.

Fulham brought their usual, about 450 - 500. So yes, the worst travelling support at our place this season. Anyway, we'll assume that, as usual, it's the muppet faction within their support who make reference to crowd size. It's a bit of an inadequacy.

Anyway, onwards and upwards to Wembley.

    :)

Comical that you can even attempt to compare our away support to yours. Ask any other teams supporters and you will hear the no doubt inconvenient truth. Joke place, joke club. Come on you Lions.

Good luck at Wembley abd hopefully next season in the prem. QPR could sell out their allocation for the 86 milk cup final or 82 replay v SPurs

Shame we couldn't play Chelsea every week. We would have been fine.

Best thing about you is that you are rarely correct, it's actually 2 wins.
Yes I know it doesn't really make our poor record look any better, but it's enough to make you incorrect.

Just in case you were not supporting Chelsea pre Abramovich.

You don't get it do you. QPR fans are slagging us off for having a small travelling support, and theirs is just as bad. Pot and kettle and all that?

I'm not dumb enough to go on the Fulham board and slag them off for not taking lots of fans away, but clearly there are QPR fans - like you - who ARE dumb enough to have a go at other small clubs with small travelling support, while their own are just as bad.

You brought 310 to the DW earlier this season. How deluded can one person be to call it "comical" to compare llike wit like?

WE took 310 to Wigan <laugh>
Obviously you really don't know what you are talking about. Better go back and check a programme mate <ok> Idiot

Funny thing though I have just seen some away figures for Reading and Guess what Chelsea didn't even sell out! Norwich and other clubs took more as will QPR when we go there. Shame as they are Euro Champs and cannot travel 30 miles. I will post the exact figures. <laugh>

Croydon that 310 figure is utter b#####s. We took 1500 last season and I thought just as many went this season. The bloke obviously never went. As for the other #### troll, i wouldn't worry about the crap he spouts.

When can find the link again showing how many tickets were sold to QPR for our home game in December I'll post it.

The thing you don't seem to get is this - you are a small club. If your travelling support is marginally bigger than other small clubs - sometime - it doesn't mean you're not still a small club. And apparently not without your share of small minded supporters too, who struggle to understand that slagging off a club for having a comparable support to your own is deluded and hypocritical. And apparently, going by the arrogant tosh on your own forum, you're not above deluding yourselves that you're better than teams WHOSE LEAGUE POSITION PLAINLY SHOWS THAT TO BE WRONG. You're like the worst of petulant ****ing football "customers", a plague on the game who imagine that because their uber-rich owner has made some outlandishly foolish purchases, that gives them some sort of consumer right to success.

And of course I was there. I go to every home game and many away. I was at your little backstreet shed to listen to your support not sing for the vast majority of the ninety minutes.

Wigan made good noise at the bridge, played football rather than parking up and were unlucky to lose

Fulham had a strong away support when they first played in the prem. the novelty of visiting new grounds has just not got qpr fans as excited as Norwich or Swansea.

Hp, I think we took 4k to you for a live Sunday game during the summer holidays. Right at the beginning of the season. Is that right. Please feel free to correct me. Good luck staying up

If you were there then you would know we took more than 310 which is clearly laughable. Regarding support, i actually wasn't worried about it because i remember the year you went up and taking 40-50 fans to Swindon. At the time i thought it was shocking but Wigan are a sort of a new club and not really known for football.

I will get a QPR Programme and tell you exactly how many tickets we sold.

We do have a good away support for our size, agree we are not big hitters like ManU/City/Liverpool/Arse/Spurs/Newcastle who you got your highest gates from but then Wigan aren't a club that attracts a good turn out.
We sold 3200 tickets for Saints and sold out at Villa because those games meant more to us. Trust me if the game was in 2 weeks we would sell out at yours, however it was at the beginning of the season and not an attractive fixture like QPR away is to your fans, however i did expect a few more.

Now getting back to the game, i just heard that Townsend has the record for most dribbling(running with the ball) in that QPR/Wigan game so credit must be given there. And with 10 men i thought we played well.

The reason why qpr sold out villa is that they did not option the full allocation.

They only took1700 out of the 3k possibles.

For Reading away for a saturday game qpr have only optioned 1k and now on general sale. Chelsea optioned 2246 for an evening game.

Ellers, Townsend did make some great runs, two of which particularly stick in the memory for beating three or four Wigan players out of sight. Never said for a second that there weren't some good individual performances - just that I expected more from QPR as a team, given how important that game was to them. Said before the game that I would take a point, and obviously after Maloney's free kick I was delighted with a point. But I think we've both said already - Wigan didn't try and make you pay for going down to ten men. We played some ineffectual tippy tappy and as the game went on it looked more and more likely that you would score. We really didn't take a chance to impose ourselves - and I believe that's because Bobby couldn't - or wouldn't - change the game plan.

What did expect from a team at the bottom? I thought we played well especially with only 10 men. Agree after Bobby went off I thought it was game over but I was happy the way we responded. Harry even said you couldn't tell who had 10 men. Yes you didn't play as good as I have seen you in the past but you can only play with what is in front of you and that goes both ways.

    And as for support:
    http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/22097080

    But then I wouldn't worry
    http://metro.co.uk/2008/05/20/chels...-their-champions-league-final-tickets-143303/

Plus HP plenty of empty seat at Semi finals and Charity shield games.
    <laugh>

You see HP all clubs have their moments. Unless you are a ManU/Arse/Liverpool/Newcastle/Spurs/Leeds who really are the big clubs and prove it season after season you and us are just like the rest. <ok>
