Anyone know if its pay on the gate. Or if there's any adhoc coaches/mini buses with spare seats? No police bubble! No excuses not to go! Only three more crucial away games, who's going? Will we see a sell out away end? Are we doing our bit to get the team over the line?
I will be there with my missus we are staying Fri/Sat in Ipswich then off to London for a couple of days to see family and thought about maybe going to going to Wolves on the way back but that one IS all ticket so will have to miss out on that one as we cannot commit in advance. Anyway that does not answer the question, not sure if it is pay on the gate. It does not say anywhere if it is or if it isn't so the best way would be to call or email the club direct!
Ipswich have sold 18,500 tickets so far and they're running a promotion where season ticket holders can buy additional tickets for a tenner(£3 kids). The standard allocation at Portman Road is 1,500 and I doubt we'll sell that many(it's a pain in the arse to get to), so I expect it will be pay on the gate(we'll probably confirm it late on Thursday). I shall be in attendance.
You don't need to even question it, our support is ****in ****. Either that or the club like to piss money up the wall by hicking prices up at home and not advertising offers on tickets for important matches. One of the nearest teams to us, Boro, in terms of locality, sold 17K. Says it all. Our away support isn't great either. If we go up it'll be a different story, they'll all be coming out the woodwork then.
I'm going. One of the nearest fixtures for us. There will also be a very special one off attendance from Mrs Oregon Tigress. At the beginning of the season she agreed to attend one game in return for me attending (and sleeping through) Les Miserables. It had to be a game that was not too far to travel and (theoretically) not during winter. She hasn't seen many matches but going back to 1982 and her first game she is yet to see them lose. Good omen? Maybe.
Do you all have to meet up at some little cafe outside Ipswich and then get escorted in on local buses, well done to all them who are going, get behind the lads and help bring them points back to E.Yorkshire
If anyone is thinking of staying over, in a word - dont. I did for the last regular season game in the promotion season and it is one of the worst night's out I have ever experienced, and Ive been out in Bratdfud. There is NOTHING in Ipswich and nobody seems to go out.
I noticed he hasn't even been making your bench lately. I didn't know if he was injured or just out of favour
There should be a good crowd for the game on Saturday as both teams need the points for different reasons. We got over 20k when Leeds came and our home crowd was 19K so I would expect about the same number for Hull. For the Hull fans the pub to go to is the 'Drum & Monkey' which is not far from Portman Road and on the way from the rail station.
My party will be at Ipswich and we are staying over on saturday night. Its been a while since i sampled Ipswich night life so it should be fun. I also expect to be back at the hotel well in time for MOTD and FLS. Nice drive down on a saturday morning. Set off early to get ahead of the traffic. Could be busy around Peterboro around noon though for those who leave at the last minute.
