Technically there is little empirical evidence of Noah and the great flood. The remains of an ark on Mount Ararat were inconclusive. Indeed the bible was put together some centuries after the death of Jesus and is seen by some as a misnoma ( Gospel of st Thomas for example).

It would be impossible to have any empirical evidence, technically or otherwise - empirical means gained by means of observation or experiment!

And don't start me on whether or not the Jesus character ever existed

the whole bible is a load of balderdash. there are too many different interpretations of the same thing and it has been translated so many times things have been lost in translation. Also there are many things in there that dont add up such as Adam and Eve having 2 sons but then suddelny the sons marry 2 women who have not been mentioned.

Excuse me - but how does this feature on a "mangers" thread - I don't remember JC even being linked with Stockport County :)

SAF was manager for 4 years before he won a trophy and now look at him & the club. Just shows you what stability can achieve.

Not true - he 'only' won 2 titles with 2 clubs - twice with Huddersfield and twice with Arsenal.

...and his previous club Leeds. They were tossed out of the league and he was 'banned for life' from football!

Not condoning it in the slightest, but in the days of the maximum wage stuff like that was always going to happen.

Slightly off-topic, but I remember reading about an ex-Watford player who was involved in a game that his team (not Watford) were supposed to lose by a particular scoreline. He found out about it, wasn't having any of it, and was confronted on the pitch after hitting the woodwork in an attempt to score a solo goal.
