Now i dont want NP to leave, and as a lot of you might know, I believe. However, when we were linked with other managers, both this time and in the past, one name that has never popped up is that of Steve Beaglehole. Consistantly done an absolutely excellent job with the youth teams. If NP was to ever go, think he could be the man?
... this makes me believe that you don't believe ... As for Beaglehole, giant risk imo for a club that would expect to be in the play-offs as a minimum.
Oh, i believe!!! But he has consistantly done exceptionally well, clearly good with young players. Though maybe he is happier with a more low-key and more secure job.
true but looking after the youth player (teenagers) to the full squad is a hUGE step up especially with the pressure the managers job brings with it
but he does have full-age experience, and as the youngest ever person to obtain the 'A licence' he clearly knows his stuff. Its like a headteacher, they all need to start somewhere and where nothing more than a 21 year old nobody in a school at some point...
You can't seriously want to be managed by a bloke called Beaglehole? Can't you find a manager with a sensible name, like Poodlepenis or Pugringpiece?
We went down that road with Rob Kelly, and it did start quite well! but as soon as we had a few problems he was not able to sort it out! and it went tits up. But if he worked with John Robertson, you just don't know and it could work!
ed - are you his agent He has done a cracking job with the Development Squad .. and if we were owned by a collection of local businessmen then it might be a possibility .. But we are not ... we are ownd by a family of Thai bussinessmen who first apponted an ex-Galactico followed by a guy who won Serie A as a manager before embarking on a pretty good international manager career - when they didn't work out they opted for a guy with a previous good record who seemed to be doing an equally good job at a divisional rival ... personally I expect them to go back to their first train of thought should they replace Nigel Pearsom, not go further down the domestic football tree ... but you never know ... old 'Poodlepenis' IS doing a fair job at Hull ...
It ain't going to happen or he would be in charge now and Pearson would be stacking shelves at tesco.
That could be a long time away.. If Pearson goes it will be at the end of the season, so no need for a caretaker manager.
