http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sport/watfordfc/watfordfcnews/10334713._/ Could be back on Saturday.
Along with Craig Forsyth by the sounds of it. With what could effectively be a third or fourth choice back three combination, I think we may need Almunia's organisational skills.
Bond was quality V Hull got a clean sheet and made 3 class saves Would be a shame to drop him . Almunia has had a while out would he be right on top of his game or a bit match rusty!
That's my concern too - for such a vital game do you risk someone not yet back to full fitness - on hte other hand his organisational skills .......
If he's fit he must play - he will be the difference in the last few matches for sure. Bond has been fantastic but he is for the future.
Do we think Almunia's return helped us get that point on Saturday - or would Bond have fared equally well. From what I saw it did not make a difference but I am pleased to have the experience back
i agree, it's hard to tell. But i do think, as i know you do, that his experience and presence all over the pitch from his position at the back is vital, and at this stage of the game, i'd rather have him in than out
I haven't read it, but apparently there's an interview with him on the official website where he advises the others to keep focused and remember what they did to get them where we are. It also says that when he was near to coming back earlier than he did, he got another injury. I read this condensed version on Sky text.
That makes sense - I thought his return seemed to have been delayed - just thought it had not mended as quickly as expected.
