Toby The only aspect of my original post I got wrong was that I did not start a new sentence when I mentioned the 'weakness' of the benefit system. I was referring to it in general terms - not specifically about the amount taken by immigrants - although I thought that my subsequent comment made it obvious that I was talking about all claimants of the benefit system in its present format - ( a format that cannot be sustained ) Other members will have put you right about your suggestion that pensions are a benefit - or were you referring to those who have not paid into the system. My thoughts are that anyone who has paid National Insurance should be entitled to a greater state pension than those who have not. With regards to political voting - my view is that I would rather have a party that tries not to overspend money that we haven't got. Thank you for your advice regarding suicide - but I have much to live for. I also have sufficient money for all of my needs ( I have worked for every penny of it )
