How unlike a Tory to be patronising and arrogant eh? <laugh>
So you know enough about the experiences and lives of posters on here to be able to judge that they have frustrated career ambitions? Interesting. I guess you must be truely superior to be capable of taking such a lofty view.

I tell you what, I'll have a little shot at it. I'm guessing that you weren't really that upset about being unemployed for two years during Thatcher's reign becuse you had a nice rich mommy and daddy who made sure their little boy didn't want for anything.
Do I win the fluffy toy?

Just incase AKCJ decides to get involved in this thread I have Googled Margaret Thatcher and Leicester Football Club.

I'm not sure why but the only thing that came up was that David Icke was born in Leicester.

    I shall keep digging.

    Hence the old saying
"If you vote Conservative at age 20 you have no heart
If you vote Labour at age 40 you have no brains
If you vote for either of them at age 50 you must be bonkers!"

As I experienced life in South Africa for a couple of years during the Apartheid period I will never forgive her anti Nelson Mandela comments and support for the SA government.

    Nevertheless RIP Mrs Thatcher.

I.suspect that this thread has run its course. It has turned into a slagging match between posters and is veering into general political debate.

I heard an interview with a historian on wireless last night who said that there have been many polls taken on post war PM's. When asked the question of which pm was the best Thatcher came top by a considerable margin. The same result.occurred when asked the worst pm. She polarised opinion drastically. People on here are not gonna change their views.

Chazz is either Judith Chalmers as I alluded to in another thread, with the 80s style power perm or I suspect he's bald and envious of being able to grow that long bit down the back.

Though even he doesn't seem to want to celebrate Maggie's passing(probably because he's still benefiting from the tax regimes she brought in)...

Billy Bragg has spoken out following the death of Margaret Thatcher.

The singer-songwriter and political activist urged those opposed to Thatcher's politics to work together against the current government rather than celebrating the former British prime minister's death. Bragg wrote on his Facebook page: "This is not a time for celebration. The death of Margaret Thatcher is nothing more than a salient reminder of how Britain got into the mess that we are in today. Of why ordinary working people are no longer able to earn enough from one job to support a family; of why there is a shortage of decent affordable housing; of why domestic growth is driven by credit, not by real incomes; of why tax-payers are forced to top up wages; of why a spiteful government seeks to penalise the poor for having an extra bedroom; of why Rupert Murdoch became so powerful; of why cynicism and greed became the hallmarks of our society.

"Raising a glass to the death of an infirm old lady changes none of this. The only real antidote to cynicism is activism. Don't celebrate - organise!"

I think we can end it here.

PM me if you think there's a reason to keep it going. <ok>
