And what for your second season? Same again? Can't say building for the future. Your own fans are playing up this 'steady boat till the Olympic Stadium' BS. That is where Stoke are failing. Steady boat, done that bit. Bring in better players...oooops
That sounds like your own team have learned this from bitter experience! Keeping Carroll do you think?
We're always in the prem or at worst around the top of the championship. You won't catch us going down to league 1 any time soon.
Nice try but I thoroughly enjoyed our league 1 adventure and besides we may not have signed Lambert had we not gone down to league 1. Talking of whom, he was supposed to be off to West Ham in the Summer wasn't he trixter?
barring our recent 2 division adventure West Ham have been the more yo-yo team over the past 4 decades. More trophies for you though I admit.
The thing is west ham are (bar last year of course) the perennial mid table side and you should be pleased with that. Our chairman won't settle for mid table, and his actions speak much louder than his words. We're a team on the way up. Blink and you'll miss us.
This will be an interesting read through the week http://www.kumb.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=147115 And.............in other news: please log in to view this image Redknapp, who has been linked with West Ham United, says that he wants to stay at QPR in the event of relegation, although he would understand if the financial realities of the Championship meant that he could not be retained. The uncertainty is widespread but it does not extend to the boardroom, where the chairman, Tony Fernandes, who plans to keep Redknapp, has not wavered in his determination to remain for the long term and make a success of the project. http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2013/apr/08/qpr-relegation-loic-remy? And loved this comment on WestHamOnline.net: I want you all to get right behind our much loved Hammers, The big fat fish supper eating northern walrus faced ape may not be everyone’s choice for manager but we have him for now so please stop all this silly nonsense and booing and get behind our boys in claret and blue for the last part of the season, were nearly there, then we can sort out whose going to run the team, now is not the time.
Much like at Southampton, I think it's felt that being manager of WHU brings with it certain responsibilities of adhering to a footballing culture that has been there long before, and will remain long after, the style of one manager. I think to be seen as a "hoofball" team goes against everything the culture of that club stands for. At the same time, he's delivered safety with no real danger, to a fairly average (bar 1 or 2 good players) squad. It's a tough one. I think they need to be realistic but then what would we say if Saints started playing a boring, repetative pattern of football?
To be fair to them a lot of the WHU fans on KUMB are not confident for game and are calling it a really tough game. For example: "A really difficult game. They are a top side at home since the new manager came in playing a really high tempo pressing game which we don't cope particularly well with e.g. Sunderland away when they never gave us a moment on the ball."
There are actually some really complimentary comments on KUMB about us. But unfortunately, the morons on Saintsweb have made us all look like arrogant twats.
I agree. Some of them are being very realistic. However all of them are saying 'The Saints seem to hate us, think we are arrogant and always banging on about being a big club'. So yes some of them are realistic...............now and have forgotten all about filling their forum with spite filled messages about how crap BFS was last season whilst belittling ANY other team in the division and stating they should be top already every f*****g week of that season, even not admitting they were 3rd best when the f****g season had ended. The difference is with us we say what we hope for. I will predict 3-1 win but that is a nervous hopeful prediction. When they predict thrashings it's because they actually believe they are going to achieve it. They aren't clever enough to see us bantering a thrashing while their boys still think it's the 60's with their No6 cotton f****g shirts on. And I hate Aston Villa B's colours. (Aston Villa A play football, bit unlucky at the mo with results though) Can you tell I stopped smoking 3 days ago. Be SATURDAY ALREADY. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH
Well done. After about the 5th or 6th year you'll feel able to climb down the emotion wall. Nah, just kidding. 21 days should have you sorted. No absent minded acceptance of ciggy proffering in the meantime though.
