I have just been told that both Derry and Hill will be going back to Palace and Ambrose will be joining us in the deal....Straight from Dougie's lips this morning.

Yep because managers tell random people their transfer dealings.

after what Derry and Hill brought to our back four this year, I cannot see them leaving. And it's just not what they bring on the pitch, it's what they also bring to the club off it as well.

So we reward Derry and Hill's massive efforts with a palm off back to the Championship, and take the foresight-challenged git who rejected us last year? Hmm...

I'm only posting what he said this morning, he wants Derry and Hill and will use Ambrose as bait, as he knows Warnock still wants him!
That is what the guy said! I for one can't for the life of me see both players cutting it in the Premier League. No disrespect to either player, they both
have been superb for us this season, however it's a whole new ball game now...After watching Gradel take Hill to the cleaners with his pace, one can only
dread what the Premier League big boys will do to them! I know I'll get shot to bits for this post, but this is only my opinion and my observations over the season.

It's Warnock who'll make the decision, not Freedman. He may have wanted Ambrose in the Championship but there are better in the Premiership who may be on frees and he is unlikely to let either of them go as he knows their worth to the squad.

Freedman would love to have them back but he's not in a very strong position.

My sentiments exactly. I would be gutted if either left.

So it's gone from 'Derry and Hill will be going back to Palace and Ambrose will be joining us in the deal' to Freedman 'wants Derry and Hill and will use Ambrose as bait'.

By all means if it happens I'll be the first to congratulate you on being correct but for now forgive me for thinking it's bollocks.

Cheers for posting Eddie, I personally hope it's wrong, Derry and Hill can be important squad players.
And Ambrose has had his chance, and now I don't want to see him in hoops.
    But IWIT as always, legend!

I would be worried by the lack of pace of Derry and Hill in the premiership.
Their lack of pace was noticeable against the best teams in the championship.
I'm sure Warnock has thought hard about if they will be good enough.
I am worried about our lack of pace in both fullback positions at the moment.

Hear what your saying but I would expect Hill to fill in at centre back next season and Derry will be able to hold he's own in many games. IMO

I certainly think Warnock would be interested in Nathaniel Clyne if the Kyle Naughton pursuit comes to nothing. I also think Roger Johnson of Brum would be a good catch if possible.

Totally agree. Warnock loves these guys and model human being Clint Hill has all the attributes, including height and raport with Paddy Kenny and Gorkssy, to take up a central defensive role. It would have to be a squad option but it's a natural development for older defensively-minded players.
