Anyone seen this? Basically Gerrard slagged off adults watching WWE. Mike White took it way to personal.

I've always thought, Mike comes across as quite smug and arrogant.

Yeah! Didn't Gerrard say something along the lines of, "If you're over 11 years of age and watch WWE then you're SAD" or something. I can remember seeing it when I was flicking down the Twitter feed this morning, but didn't see Mike White had got involved.

I'm very much on Gerrard's side in this one, then! It is a truly ridiculous spectacle.

@mikewhitesport if my opinion offends you I suggest you press in unfollow! Was that abusive? Sad little man bitching about a tweet! Pathetic

Mike wasn't even following him, someone retweeted it to him.

I'm not a big twitter user but I really can't see why you'd respond to that. I don't know Mike White but he comes across as a bit of a dick.

He is a bit arrogant. Reacts really strongly to even the mildest criticism of RH.

I'm with Gerrard on this one. I stopped watching it at 7yrs old.

It's more soap opera than athletics anyways.

Not necessarily soap opera, as there aren't people setting houses on fire or people cheating behind the scenes.

It's more a really badly acted theatre performance.

Gerrard is spot on imo. WWE is a joke and a waste of space. <ok> At least the wrestling on ITV's World of Sport had some humour to it. The old lady on the front row with her handbag was funny.

He might realise that he would do well to spend less time on Twitter as it is slowly taking over his life.

My nan used to get REALLY aggressive watching that on a Saturday afternoon. We made a sound at our own peril.

WWE really is silly though, and Ant's spot on. It doesn't pretend to be an actual sport, but the theatre and acting its meant to be, is just so badly done, it's not even ironic.

If watching men fighting is your thing then I'd suggest UFC
WWE is ridiculous and Mike White isn't making himself look good

D'ya reckon all the lads from BBC Radio Humberside actually read these Forums to get a 'fans view' on things and see if they're mentioned?

    If so:

Mike, you come across a complete turd and I hope to be mentioned for this post in the near future.

    CM <cheers>

    Let me add to that:

Also Mike, don't forget to tell Gwilym he's a twat and should seriously consider retiring!
