I hope she gets a full state funeral plus we should have a national day of mourning like they do everyday in Liverpool.
Excellent in my opinion. I know this won't go down too well with some but those were some of the greatest years I have ever witnessed.
left alot of people in the north without work ...split familys , communties ,, left peole with just mass unemployment . looked after her london ..took away rights at work ...just pure evil.
While Germany was embracing the involvment of trade unions on the way to becoming the super-power in Europe Thatcher was selling off every industry possible and killing off the unions who represented the very people who had made them profitable. Instead of being a vindictive old **** she should have sat the likes of Scargill down and offered deals in return for productivity. We are still sitting on decades worth of coal in this country and rather than shut down collieries more needed to be done to invest in the infrastructure to enable profitable extraction of our own resource rather than be at the mercy of foreign suppliers. Nobody with an ounce of sense could argue that the "everybody out" strike culture needed to change but look around the country for the moral decay we have to endure now and it can all be traced back to the 80's. She made it her mission to stamp out the trade unions in revenge for what Heath had to endure in the early 70's and there are millions who paid that price. Two recessions under the Tories, Thatcher was on her way out until the Falklands and despite having prior intelligence warning of iminent threat of invasion she chose to wait until the Argentinians made their move to rattle sabres and guarantee a second term. Made Britain great again? Made Britain the patsy for any Johnny Foreigner who wanted to drop anchor on our shores to rape the country of it's heritage and industry more like. Sold off the family silver leaving us at the mercy of the IMF, a situation that has come back to haunt us now. Rejoice! The Wicked Witch is DEAD!!!
And she sold off most of the council housing stock and kept all the money for central government. Thank God that hasn't backfired on the country eh?
